Now back - it seems to be an ok morning, yesterday starte wet and gloomy but turned into quite a nice day, if a bit chilly.I did post yesterday but lost it, it was quite a long post as well. I meant to come back and re do it but the day slipped away and I thought it was too late.I went out armed with a list yesterday, I wanted to get birthday cards for the people who will have birthdays when we are in Oz, Dh bought one for his brother, who will be 90 when we are away. We had hoped to get down to the south west to see him before we go, but I don't think it will happen. The car is going in to the garage on Thursday to have a rattle investigated, we don't want to make any major journeys before that is sorted. I do hope it's not an expensive rattle.Snoozer, I'm glad that Esben is keeping you right about the rules! That gave me a laughIzzy, I've learned the hard way about labelling stuff for the freezer, I once defrosted a bag of home made tomato sauce in mistake for tomato soup, and was half way through it when I realised., well, it was similar. Hope your tv is now ok, poor Mr Izzy!I have various jobs on the agenda for today, I'll just plod through them, I might get some washing dry if it stays fine.Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to those who may be sad or poorly.Take care folks.12

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It promises to be sunny, and cold, today but no rain thankfully.
I am dithering over heading over for the Saturday only bus to Harrogate this morning. I am usually well underway with my Christmas shopping by this time of year but it hasn't happened this year. So it's my intention to at least make a start today wherever I end up. I can't cope with too much treking about, or hills, so that narrows it down a bit!
DD and I had a lovely meal last night. The restaurant was booked solid all evening. Quite pricey so it won't be a regular haunt unfortunately.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning allWell I hope I don't have another Friday 13th like yesterday as it worked out quite expensive. Went to garage to get some petrol. The car next to me hadn't pulled up very well so I was a bit squashed when I got out to use the pumps. Convinced I had put petrol in even though it was a bit more difficult than usual. Cutting a long story short had to have someone out to clear my tank of DIESEL and then had to fill it up again with PETROL. Felt such a fool. After 50 odd years of driving this is the first time I've done this.Today I'm staying at home and have dusted off my breadmaker so will make a fruit loaf and probably some Twinks too.Take care every one x10

Morning All
Lovely crisp autumn morning, the bedding is on the line and another load in. Looking forward to a sunny day (fingers crossed).
I'm on holiday for a week now, half term already. I'll go and rescue the little one from the hairdresser after I've been swimming, she's having her first ever haircut then it's her Mummy's turn so it's too long for her to wait. We'll probably go to the park and then back here.
Oh dear Chrisca, that's an expensive mistake to make.
Have a good day out TA, glad you enjoyed your meal out.
Hope you get that rattle sorted Scarlet. If my car stops rattling I get worried!
I gave my bedroom a good clean yesterday and put the winter quilt on - I was lovely and cosy last night and slept really well. Will try to get another room done today so I'm not rushing about before all the visitors arrive in a week or so, means I can just give everything a quick dust and hoover before they get here.
Hope you all have a good weekend, take care. XX11 -

Morning all, weather mixed after hail & torrential rain during the night. No football for DGS today, they called it off yesterday due to waterlogged pitches.Shame- it would have meant no car travel being just up the road next to the park.I had an early start yesterday to go on a bus trip to Bury market. Got some lovely cheese and other bits, some lamb chops which we had for tea - my wally trolley was full. I made a mistake coming back & got on the bus that goes all over the place, took ages. Won't be getting that one again!I have read yesterdays and this mornings thread but hardly retained anything
but glad you enjoyed your meal TA, and good luck tv shopping Izzy.
I ended up making a sympathy card for my ex SILs hubby, she rang when I got back. I went to post it after walking pooch this morning only to find the collection time has been changed from 9am to 7am We only met her a couple of times, quite an indomitable lady in her mid 90'sI have sorted quite a bit of my craft stash to take to a charity shop- hopefully today as we haven't any other plans. We are having pizzas tonight, well the menfolk are, I'll find something else for myself.Hope it's a good day for you all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
looks to be a nice day here after rain all day yesterday, I have one wash on the line and another about to finish so that will go out too.
Mum got on ok at her scan we went straight in and out 5 minutes later no results yet they will be sent to her Dr. We ended up getting a Chinese last night and mum joined us she loved it and ate more than I have seen her eat for weeks.
Today I am going to sort out what we call the loft room, it’s a room / cupboard off of the bedroom which is quite big, dd has a lot of stuff in there since she moved back in and it’s become a bit of a dumping ground so I will sort it out today and get rid of some stuff on the local free pages.
Will get the dogs out for a good walk later as I’ve missed a free days this week. Dinner tonight will be a meatball sub so I need to make a tomato sauce up this morning and seal the meatballs, they can then sit in the sauce and marinate for a while.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Had a long lie in - Mr F needed it after his late night to bed on Thursday/Friday am.
Still have this blooming cold - no need to go shopping today - we need to use up stuff before going away.
Will be at SA tonight to take in food waste deliveries.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
