PCP ON CAR
Options
Hi
I had the above on my previous car and the finance was settled by the dealership I got a letter to say the agreement is now closed and the account is closed .
I then got a letter saying I owed 230 on my old car even though gave the car up on 24 of sept
Should not have the finance company checked to see if any debt is due as they the gave dealership the early settlement figure?
and who is liable for the amount owed.
Await your response

I suspect that the amount due is not anything to do with the actual finance but for damage or excess mileage.
What exactly does the letter say ?

Their updating system is likely to take up to 2 months to update.
I had the same scenario earlier in the year -
I spoke with their finance dept 3 times, each time they told me their system shows the full, correct, details.
Their generic letters etc etc arrived for 2 months afterwards and by the 3rd their system had finally generated the correct paperwork.
Irritating, yes.

If the dealer was a bit slow in paying that then another payment would be due. You need to check if that is the case, there have been a few cases on here.
