did no one want to start one in case or am I just not seeing one? Morning! Dull and grey as ditch water today...No plans thank god, I'm a bit over things I have to do or places I have to go to this week. Today I'm thinking about potentially doing a big fat zero, or some cocheting or some decluttering, probably bed stuff since I have a load of double bed stuff but ours is a king size and has been for about 5 years. Fatty won't be happy because he likes to sleep on the bed but I need it to work out what fits and what doesnt bottom sheet wise. I lit the fire last night because my hands were so cold and it was nice but it it's still too warm to keep it going all night and we had dumplings in the stew [large portion went in the freezer] Inspired by the decluttering thread I'm going to collate all the projects I want to do or have to finish in one place over the weekend.
Florence, good luck to mr F, hope your cold goes quickly! Izzy, you made me laugh at Mr Izzys reaction to no tv...and the freezer surprise. I always think, Oh I'll know what that is if I don't write on it, and no, I never do...Just like when you sow seeds and think, yeah, I'll recognise that plant...nope...snoozer, enjoy the sitting down! Enjoy your day everyone, 13 is just a number! But don't walk under any ladders or make any black cats cross

Morning all.
Yes, I wondered if I'd missed seeing a post for today. My cold has now gone a bit chesty and I have a croaky voice. Luckily I don't have anything I need to do today so can take it easy and potter. I'll check how many stamps we have for Christmas cards and maybe make a few flapjacks for the weekend. Have defrosted some chicken thighs to make tarragon chicken for dinner and that's about it!
Hope everyone's day goes well.13 -
Thanks Taff, I wonder where everyone is this morning. My foot is much better today but I'm still meant to keep it up as much as possible so I am ignoring my impulse to do things.
Esben wanted to take his new toy car to nursery this morning and when I said the teachers might not want him to he told me "Nonna, I know the rules".
I hope all the.poorly people are as well as possible.
Have a good day.12 -

Morning All
Taff thanks for the start, I had wondered if I missed early posts.
Very wet and windy overnight, we have a friend staying who heard it all in the back bedroom , ours is on the side and didn't hear a thing.
Finally starting to settle in to our new bungalow, managed to put two of Ddads oil paintings on the lounge walls, not painted by him but they are lovely.
Also had our first oil delivery ( very new to us) at least we should be warm.
Still going back to Kent each week as DMIL still in hospital as she has not been eating and they were concerned there was a blockage but nothing showed on CT scan
I have been reading daily but memory a bit like a sieve at the moment so wishing all poorly folks well and everyone else a great day

Morning all
Its quiet on here this morning I hope everyone is ok. Pouring with rain here but meant to get better over the weekend. I have a wash just finishing but it will have to go on the airer in the conservatory.
Got to take mum to hospital later for a heart scan, she has one every six months or so, I will see if she wants a Burger King or something on the way back. I think we are going to treat ourselves to a Chinese tonight which will be lovely.
It won’t be a long walk today due to the rain but will get the dogs out to stretch their legs.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all.I've been waiting for my friendly neighbour to come to look at my upstairs toilet cistern which has stopped filling up. It needs a new part which he'll get after the weekend as they are just about to go away. Luckily I have a bidet shower which I can use to fill up the cistern each night before bed.Today I have three birthdays. My late Dad and his eldest grandson plus a close family friend, all celebrating on Friday 13th.No plans for today as the wind is high and there's bouts of short sharp rainfall. Not a day for going out.I hope that all are well or doing well.11

Morning all from a very wet part of KentApparently the weather will dry up by midday so I'll hang some washing out then otherwise it will be the tumble dry to dry it off a bit and the then airer upstairs. Hope everyone is doing well as it does seem a bit quiet on here today. Have been shopping and looking at the Christmas displays in a well know *&* store. Not very impressed, but maybe the Grinch in me is coming out!Not alot else going on today. Bought some duck legs in a sauce in A*di so will have those tonight for dinner.Take care everyone x10

Morning everyone thanks for the start Taff by the way I’ve got a lovely roll of stickers to put on freezer stuff never do it because I think I know what everything is and they slide of in amongst everything my freezer soon descends into chaos no matter how many times I tidy it a bit like my head . Just got in from helping at the food waste thing I don’t know how they are going to carry the bags home this week a lot of heavy veg . I stripped the beds before I left I will now make them up again it was pouring down this morning but the weekend is supposed to be dry so hopefully I will get them hung out . Off to work soon I’m just going to make a cuppa and have five minutes sit . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning (just) folks. I am a latecomer this morning as I wanted to get up and down dusted and vacced before I got into messing about mode. We had overnight rain here but no wind and we are left with a drab looking day. After yesterday's bitterly cold start the day improved and it was quite warm in the afternoon once the sun came out. Hope we get the same today!
A day of remembrance for me too today GERS. It's now 5 years since I lost my lovely Bob. I still can't believe it's so long, it just seems like yesterday. As always DD wanted to take me out for a meal later to stop me dwelling. She has been on a night shift so is going to ring me when she wakes up. This will be the third eating out day since Tuesday and I am already feeling rather expansive! We made pigs of ourselves as usual at the carvery yesterday and, despite feeling stuffed, I succumbed to a pudding (fruit crumble and custard) but half way through I had to sadly admit defeat. I won't make that mistake today! We are going to a nice pub I haven't been to for ages but DD was there last week and she said they have a new menu with some lovely different meals on it. She is veggie and was impressed with all the choices. Looking forward to it.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and hope those with hospital appointments today go well. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
