NHS I was thinking about buying dentist cement to fit it back on in the meantime but dont know if this will make it worse for when i eventually get to see a dentist to fix it

Most dentists have emergency appts before September (11 months away)

Have your dentist said they cannot treat you? Seems odd

They have no appointments until then   I will try ringing them at 8 in the morning in case of cancellation but want a solution as they have gone from 10 dentist to 2 so its a bit of a scrum to get seen nowadays.  There are no other NHS dentists in area currently accepting new patients

An 11 month wait is incredible. What about this, if there is a teaching hospital near you:

The NHS website also suggests that if you can't find a dentist you should complain to your Local Integrated Care Board. Although you have a dentist, with such a wait it's not much better than not having one. It might be worth contacting them - you've nothing to lose.

I bought a tooth repair kit in boots. A tiny little pot of what looks and feels like putty. I put a tiny bit in and it was bright white, turned the colour of my teeth in a few days. But it is only a temporary solution

Thanks i managed to get appointment 3 weeks from now Although they have not sent me the normal confirmation email so hope they dont let me down. I will wait for dentist now rather than fixing it myself. I guess this is the new normal Thankfully dont go out much or have any visitors.  I did have all my teeth until recently when i lost one baby tooth that i had in mouth at 57years old and now have lost the second tooth as i have under active thyroid a root canal was not advisable (ha to wait 12 months to get removed ) due to flare ups if it got infected and now i have the missing crown in the middle.
