Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, I have a few bits to peg out on the line once it's light. Last day of the milder termps according to the forecast.
Dinner last night was sausages, mash, yorkshires, veg and gravy. Tonight will be LO pork braised in stock with hot buttered new pots, veg and gravy.
Work wasn't too bad yesterday today will be busy. Makes the day pass quicker though.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
After a relatively dry day yesterday it's back to rain today, the water level in the cellar has dropped a bit but I've ordered a pump which should come tomorrow and I can get rid of what's still there hopefully. Although the cellar is about 6 foot deep it can't be doing the house any good with 6 inches of water sat at the bottom.
I managed to get an appointment at the surgery and luckily bloods taken too (although I did my usual faint with the needle in!). It was a nurse practitioner who suspects low iron but the blood test should check that. Strangely enough I felt a bit better yesterday afternoon! I haven't had Covid that I know of since April so it's unlikely to be that.
Sounds like you had a good time at the show Coxy and taff. Your poor DD Coxy, that's no way to be treated and hope she finds something soon.
So glad you had a good time Izzy and brightened someone's day.
Hope you managed to track down your new card Scarlet.
Off to the madhouse once I've had a shower and got dressed, it's so dark in the mornings now. Take care. XX9 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another summer day in store before we go downhill tomorrow.
I got a call from the hairdresser yesterday to say she is now negative so she is coming early doors this morning. She won't know where to start! And re the colour worries, it was nowhere near as savage looking as I imagined it would be in daylight thank goodness! In fact I think I prefer it to my usual colour so might stick with it.
Then I am meeting a DF for lunch in town. We usually go to the carvery but she fancied a change. We are meeting at noon in the same pub I used to go to every Tuesday with BFF so it will be a sad reminder of her. I will never stop missing her after our long friendship.
IZZY it was good to hear you enjoyed your trip and cheered someone up in the process. If you do book for April and don't need any shopping then the Valley Gardens are beautiful then with all the spring flowers out in abundance. We used to go regularly from the 'van.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care and be safe xx

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It seems fine as far as I can tell, yesterday was ok.
I went to the bank about my debit card, and they said they aren't sent out as early now. I should receive a new one by 25th, so I'll look out for that. The current one is valid till 31st, so I'm ok.
Hope you are all right Camelot, and Coxy, hope your dd is ok.
We had some good news yesterday, dh is all right. He's had a series of tests for heart and possible kidney problems but everything seems ok. That was such a relief. He is deficient in vit B12, but we knew that and he takes tablets for that.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning. I'm up eary thanks to a weird night, couldn't take a deep breath, couldn't breath lying down which is more likely the result of an overfull stomach and two cups of tea before I went to bed rather than anything else...Luckily, I'm not going anywhere for food today so reining back is on the cards. I have to go and get a birthday card and post it, order some flowers and find something suitable for my sister, it's her brithday Thursday. My cousin has been asking what to get her so I gave her my only idea. It's one of those, when you get to a certain age and you can afford to, you buy what you need or want anyway. Let's hope I think of something quick. SOmeone is coming this morning to adjust the hinges n the door and I have tomatoes ready prepped for roasting [didn't get round to it yesterday, came home from lunch out, fell alseep on the sofa] . My pile of stuff for the recycling place is getting bigger too. More today hopefully.camelot, I thought it was a feature of some cellars that they could be underwater for a spell and be ok, no idea where I got that idea from. But I hope yours clears soon! Coxy, no problem, we can arrange a prosecco date any time
and that's a bit odd from the school, why didn't they say to start with? Fingers crossed for the NHS. Does she know anyone who works there by any chance?
And I had to google her, my friend would have known who it was, she does a lot fo cross stitch, usually cards though, she's move donto crochet as the main one but still does cross stitich. Ruby, yes, you need to know who's ringing for definite, I'm sure reassuring parents is not your job...snoozer, everything crossed for you! Rosy, sounds horrendous! Every time we get a sudden heavy downpour, our sewer fills up right to the top, the downstairs toilet starts making weird noises and I have to hone the water board to come and unblock the drains. That's stressful enough, I cant imagine what happens if it actually floods too...Poor people. TA, enjoy your lunch out! Scarlet, good ot hear he's been given the all clear from those tests. Fingers crossed they can identify what it is, now they know what it's not...Take care all today, and a beautiful day to you all!

Morning.More heavy rainfall today so it's worrying. Contractors removed 9,000 tonnes of mud and rubble from just one of the landslips and it's not clear yet. I need to collect some meds and that'll be it for the day.10

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Good news about your DH @ScarletRibbons x
Goodness 9,000 tonnes @Gers - just staggering
I did see someone taking a selfie on one of the crochet stalls @-taff - maybe that was her lol!
WFH today. I'm taking my ID to the new job at lunchtime and hopefully my contract will follow after that fingers-crossed. DD spent yesterday applying for new roles, so hoping she won't be out of work for long - she doesn't want gaps on her CV but she needs to cut herself some slack IMHO.
Dinner tonight is marmite pasta - yum!
Have a good day all

Morning all
It looks damp and overcast here this morning but we are promised another nice day before rain tomorrow. I am supposed to be having three people coming today my regular two and then Rob is supposed to be starting today, I will be very surprised if he turns up I had two phone calls from his mum last night but having put her number into my phone I could ignore it, I hope that doesn’t sound mean but I don’t work at night and it would be nothing that could not wait till this morning. His mum had not ordered his taxi yesterday ( this should have been arranged weeks ago) so I’m almost certain he won’t turn up as she is a bit last minute and then wants everyone to run round after her which is not going to happen!
So I will wait and see who turns up and then plan the day from there. I walked another five miles yesterday so will try and get a walk in today with the guys.
Dinner tonight will be minty lamb chops with mash and veg, DD has the day off today so she can do some prep. I need to run the hoover round this morning and have a quick tidy.
Camelot I’m glad you got a blood test hopefully it’s something that can be sorted quickly xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning everyone
Yesterday was a lovely day here, warm and calm - today we're back to wild and windy.
Yesterday's highlight was a chocolate caterpillar cake as we had a birthday boy...always a good start to the week. When I came home I finished painting the shed - I couldn't paint one side as there was a raspberry bush growing up it. I'm paying for it now as my arms are aching this morning.
Redruby - it sounds like Rob's mum is too dependant on your good nature, hopefully she'll stop ringing you at night once she realises you'll not answer.
Coxy - that's very unfair of the school, I'd have thought they could give her some training in teaching phonics rather than letting her go.
I have a few jobs to do this morning Then wok at lunchtime. Little one is coming home for me as DD is at the hairdressers. I'll make macaroni cheese for tea, it's one of her favourites.
She goes to school all neat and tidy and comes out resembling a scarecrow!
Well I'd better get on, hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning everyone it’s mild but very dull here I’ve just walked in from a cleaning job I’m going to have a cuppa and prepare some veg for tonight we are having shepherds pie they are already done I’ve just taken them out of the freezer. It was so dark this morning I couldn’t believe it was time to get up but it least we have no heating on yet but that has to change soon Gers I seen some of the flooding and landslides on the news it’s been really bad stay safe and warm Camelot I agree with you if nothing else it will make it colder TA pleased you like your hair I laughed at Taff I would love purple hair but I’m not brave enough Scarlet good news about DH you have done the right thing Ruby I always find it hard to say no and tying myself in knots but I’m getting better at it some people take advantage. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Hi everyone,
I'm sitting in the car with a sleeping Esther in the back. It's nice to have nothing to do for a little while.
Now that she's on her feet we end up walking up and down with her all the time.
I nearly had to go to Crystal's to look after Nate for an hour as well but she managed to change her appointment luckily. He should have been at nursery but is a bit under the weather.
Tomorrow will be a full day, we have to leave home at 10.30 and probably won't get home till after 6. I'm having a gait analysis before the surgery so no doubt will be told I've been walking all wrong for the last sixty odd years.
Chicken shawarma for dinner, I need to put it to marinate soon.
Have a good day.8
