Morning everyone and thanks for starting us off Gers
Weather here is ok atm.
I am off for my 'jabs' this morning. xx9 -
Morning allBright morning here and according to the Met Office the temperature could get as high as 23!!! Crazy weather.DH is off to help DS with fitting a new radiator at his house so my day will be baking a victoria sponge, changing the bed and not washing the bedclothes as our washing machine gave up the ghost yesterday so have some VERY wet clothes to try and dry today. Luckily a new washing machine will be delivered tomorrow so I can hang some dryer washing on the line then! Hopefully will be able to sit out in the garden later and read my book that I've got on the go.Hope everyone has a good day x11

I'm refuelled and ready for the day. Mind you, we have a yellow warning about rain and it's justified already. There'll be no going out today.Yesterday was good. I had the thing on my neck zapped, it was a funny red lump which my GP was unconcerned about but I was very conscious of, so it's gone, or very nearly. The fitting of the dash cam was done by a 20 year woman, she was so efficient about it. It was lovely to see. The drive home was very relaxing as, apart from a couple of drivers, we all moved along at a good pace. Two big wagons pulled over, one little car on French plates did the same so no long hold ups.On Thursday night to Friday I slept really fitfully so was ready for sleep early on, slept for 10 hours without stirring. 😀Iris - good day for your jabs. I hope that everyone is safe from the weather. Happy Saturday to all.8

Morning All
Very wet out today with a weather warning for heavy rain. The ground is already soggy so goodness knows what it will be like later!
Swimming this morning then some shopping, will probably have a lazy day as the weather is so poor but I do need to get a couple of cards - maybe tomorrow!
Glad your appointments went well Gers.
Oh dear Chrisca, hope you can get your washing dried.
Good to hear from your Peony.
I have a new kitchen tap at last and the silence is golden, the dripping was driving me mad. I felt really bad as I didn't think to empty the cupboard under the sink so the poor plumber had to do it. Gave me a chance to clean the cupboard before I put everything back.
Hope you either enjoy the sunshine or stay safe from the rain. Take care. XX10 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. The sun is supposed to be shining here but it isn't!! I live in hope!
Rearranged flu jab this morning at the surgery, which isn't as convenient as Boots but for some reason no appointments there are coming up now. As the surgery is on the road out of town I may head to the bus stop and have a run to either Skipton or Ilkley, depending which bus comes first. I had intended to go to Harrogate on the Saturday bus but the flu appointment scuppered that. So I may try for next week instead. Which reminds me, IZZY I hope you enjoy your trip there today.
DD and the 2 youngest are going on a 10k Starlight hike tonight in aid of the hospice which looked after me and Bob so well and where DD now works. Promises to be a mild and dry night for it. Wouldn't be much fun in the rain!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning! sky is white and grey so there may be rain later. Just tried to put flea stuff on the cats, little girl = successful, fatty = arms and legs and elbows everywhere so hopefully he's got at least a little bit on him. OH is going to a whisky tasting at twelve and feeding the cats, I need to wash some stuff to wear or take tomorrow because it's always warmer in London so I need a choice..And get something for a packed lunch. I have lost my get up and go now so my suitcase is still waiting for me to put the stuff away and seeing as it's nearly winter clothes time, I might as well just put it all in a big bag. Most of it is clean, I overpacked aain as usual and we went to the laundrette before we came back. Another big cull is needed in general I think. Thank god for chairty shops but not for the reason they exist obviously.Gers, I reckon you were up too early if it was stll dark and horrible, maybe some more time under the covers with coffee until the sun at least lightens the sky is prescribed
Chris, hope the washing machine isn't delayed! Izzy, enjoy the shopping trip! camelot, congrats on the absence of water torture....TA, good for them, hope they don't get too soaked. Ruby, enjoy your new Goth nails
Peopny, glad your mum is being cheered up and your load has lightened. Well, look after yourselves, treat yourselves, have a beautiful day if you can...

Morning all
Lovely day here and meant to get quite warm later, I have washing about to finish and that can be hung on the line it should dry well today.
OH is at the boot sale and dd slept over at her friends so just me and the pups here, I will get them out for a good walk again later. OH has to go to his dads and set up his new TV and I will phone mum and see if she needs any shopping.
Dinner tonight will be a prawn and anchovy lemon risotto I don’t have a recipe I’m going to wing it and see what happens 😃🤞 usually when I do this it turns out lovely.
Housework to do this morning and a nana nap later.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -

In winter the sun goes by about 3.30 - 4.00p.m. and doesn't reappear until at least 8.30a.m. Right now there's no hint of sun, it may be behind the thick grey cloud.I'm up and about. Put on another base layer, come November I'll be like a Michelin man.9

Hi everyone, thanks for the start @Gers. Glad your trip home was uneventful and boo to the weather warning.
We have sunshine here in Kent and it's due to last for a few days. My cold is improving but I've woken with a headache that I'm having trouble shifting. We are off to the matinee at the theatre today for DDs birthday treat - seeing the Jamie musical. Will come home and watch the rugby on catch up afterwards.
Ally Pally was busy as usual @-taff - I got some projects to keep me busy, just need to clone myself as have enough stash to see me out.....
Have a good day all and for those having their jabs - mind how you go.
