Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, milder last night than it has been. Hoping for no rain so I can get the wash load sitting in the basket onto the line once it's light.
Dinner last night was ham, egg, pork pie (menfolk), chicken, hot new potatoes and salad. Tonight I'm not sure but food shopping today so will sort then.
Lots to do today so have a list and will steadily work my way through it.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, food shopping is something I need to do too.
Very windy this morning but dry for now. Washing on the pulley, will finish it off in the TD later. The plumber didn't arrive yesterday - maybe today!
I met some recently retired colleagues/friends yesterday and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening with a good meal, hopefully we'll all meet up again soon.
Hope your DH is on the mend Izzy.
Welcome back -taff, sounds like you had a busy trip.
Thinking of the poorly babies, fingers crossed they are better today.
Friday again, really must call in and see DD and the little one today, haven't seen them all week. Then it will be home, pjs on and a catch up with some TV.
Have a good day if you can, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks.Despite the rain yesterday I did everything I had planned. Got my double vaccines done in under five minutes then went to the hour long exercise class. Best bit is always a good long shower afterwards, the worst bit is getting dried and dressed. Especially putting on my bra! And I'm back to socks and proper shoes. This morning I'm at a clinic for a 'thing' on my neck to be lasered off. Nothing nasty, GP wasn't bothered with it so I'm going to a private clinic. Then I'm having a dash cam fitted to my car. My last car had one and I miss it, ages ago some footage from a previous car proved that a taxi driver was at fault when he drove into the side of me. I've been fretting about it for year.Lovely to see Taff and Bella back. Izzy, I hope that your husband is soon better. DP1, more funny news of your little one. Glad that you're on the mend TA. Ruby, you've done the right thing about Rob's mum. Snoozer, I bet you enjoyed your quiet time. Jackie, I hope that the docs see you today and give you encouraging news.Off to have hotel breakfast. Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Friday to all.12

Morning allI wanted to hang some washing out before I go out to do a food shop but DH informed me before he went to work that apparently there's a blockage in the filter and all the washing is sitting in water so will have to wait till he gets back from work before he can deal with it and I can put it on the line. Glad he only works mornings!Had a filling done at the dentist yesterday, thought I'd walked into a private one by mistake. Haven't the prices gone up at the NHS ones!!!Take care everyone and have a good day all x12

Morning folks. Another mizzly start here and forecast on and off all day. I wonder if tomorrow's brief heatwave will happen!
Change of plan today. Hairdresser has cancelled as she now has Covid. She hopes to make it next week. My haircut is way overdue already and is beyond doing anything with. So the Friday Tidy will be done at a leisurely pace rather than the rushed job before she came.
Welcome back TAFF we have missed you! Your mention of Lake Iseo stirred up some memories for me.. We spent a week there for our Ruby Wedding. We stayed in a cute B & B in Iseo Town. In a big garden in the historic centre near the lakeside. Our sightseeing/exploring was done either by boat or the Brescia to Edolo railway which runs up the side of the lake. Lots of lovely restaurants about too. We loved it and intended to go back again but sadly, thanks to illness, it wasn't to be. But I still have my memories and lots of photos.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and those with woes. RUBY I can understand your worries but you have done the right thing by stepping back. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Looks to be a nice day here and I'm off to Alexandra Palace for the Knit and Stitch show. I have a budget...let's see if I stick to it. Of course I don't actually need anything but I do like to go every few years. I'm taking a packed lunch as the food is expensive there, but might buy a coffee if I start to flag! My cold is now full blown but I'm battling on lol. Kedgeree planned for tea - yum.
Welcome back @-taff - you sound as busy as ever!
Annoying about the WM @Chrisca50 - hope DH can fix it!
Your tales of piggy vs horse was very amusing @mehefin - I too would see if you can get something for the CDs via the library.
Have a good day everyone

Good morning, I'm a bit later than usual today. I was awake during the night, then fell asleep again.
I was worrying about Dh's still unresolved health problems, he might get to know more next week though, so we must wait and see. Also a minor family problem, but everything seems worse in the middle of the night doesn't it.
Anyway, sorry to moan on. Welcome back Taff and Izzy !
TA, I've got hair problems as well, my hair is just a wispy mess most of the time these days. I''m going to the hairdresser next week anyway, and I'm hoping she'll work her usual magic.I
Thinking of our poorlies, and hope everyone has as good a day as they can today.
Take care folks.11 -
Morning everyone you are right Scarlet everything seems worse in the middle of the night but hopefully your DH will get some peace of mind next week. Hubby seams to be managing a bit better I’ve taken over most of the dog walking but he’s still doing some but not as far he’s got to keep moving as well I’ve just popped out to the butchers and I’m finished my cuppa before I go and help out at the food thing it’s actually called a bread and butter thing it’s warm but drizzly but I’ve got a waterproof coat no doubt it will be me outside doing the running in and out but it soon goes over and I will have a cuppa and a chat before I come back at 11 in time to make a sandwich for us before I go to work I was given a bag of apples yesterday they will have to wait until Sunday to be made into crumble’s as I’m off to Harrogate on my bus trip on Saturday I booked a while ago hopefully to get a few Xmas presents it is supposed to be a nice warm day we will see . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all & thanks nmlc.Glad to see you back Taff, sounds like you had an interesting trip.Scarlet & TA , you've reminded me to text my hairdresser for an appointment. I too have wispy hair syndrome, it's ok on the day I wash it & downhill from there !I had an unexpected trip to the retail park with DS returning his trousers, I jumped in too. They didn't have his size so he'll have to order online, but nice to have a quick browse in next, they had a sale on but nothing caught my eye so on to home B. We met back up at the till, he spent more than me. I bought a new sweeping brush for the kitchen, a new bread board & some bitsDGS cross country was cancelled but not early enough to stop DS2 setting off to pick him up so he had a long wait outside. They called on the way home for DGS customary ice lollyTea tonight - spicy pork on a flatbread. Hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9

Morning all! It is not raining, so yippee! Today is feed the cats day and I have to venture out to get some cat crack so I might go to the blinds place on the way back to look at the clip in things and what kind of fabric they have. Might do a thorough internet search first though, also have to phone the garage man, my car needs a fix and the plumber again, we need the new radiators, it's been really chilly in the night but I havent lit the fire because you know what it's like, you're cold, but then you light the fire, suddenly, super hot. I did put the flannelette sheets on the bed last night though, so cosy! Which reminds me, I need to sort out the kindling and get some wood ordered. So nothing exciting today, more seed collecting form out the front too, there are some foxgloves, white ones, I want and some of the lambs ears so I don't have to buy more. I am very chuffed today, I have grown a cypress tree from seed and it is an inch high now [ not impressively tall but still, I grew TREE!
]
About the Perisana cookbook, I have the green one I think, I used it for a recipe Ruby posted I think of lamb and orzo but haven't looked at it since but will check it out later on for something to cook tonight. The recipe itself didn't sound very inspiring but it really was lovely, but I might do it with prok mince next time, the lamb was quite heavy.Camelot, hope your day goes smoothly! Gers, thought about just wearing a towel hoodie home? Will anyone see you? It's just like the beach isn't it trying to pull clothes on a damp body...Chris, fingers crossed he can sort it. TA, glad I brought back some nice memories, it's very pretty but also very wild. Iris, want to come stay with me and do that for me too?Coxy, I'm off there on Sunday, my friends want to Prosecco bar it up...I will be actively looking to only buy some black fluffy wool but we'll see. Good luck! Scarlet, hope you can avoid night worrying until you know what's going on. Put some happy music and dance to it next time
Izzy, sounds like you need to hang in the middle somewhere to even out the work load
Have a lovely day tomorrow! Rosy, spicy pork, nom nom.Well done on minimal shopping...{ I have a lot more saucepans now because I can't resist kitchen stuff, anywhere, and a couple of French tureens - I found a vide grenier on the way so we stopped outside ST Dizier. Now I know the words for charity shop, garage sale, etc, next year will be carnage..::sigh::] Anyway, enough of that....I wish you all a beautiful day, hugs to the ones who need them...
