Council pay rises

What happens with council pay rise they council offers a rise in April. I I think the unions are still arguing it now. Does the payrise usually get back dated?

Generally the payrise would be backdated.

Is this how it usually goes in councils. Ones offered then the unions argue it for 6months or so?

Yes it is. Rise eventually negotiated, backdated and paid a few months later it all starts again.

I think there still negotiating the April 23 offer.

Does anyone no when this years council pay rise will go on? The April 23 one. I don't think they got the 2022 one till November 23.

Best asking the council as they're the ones paying the money. But until the rise is agreed with the union(s) nothing will happen and even after it is agreed it may not be possible to pay it on the next immediate payday

Thanks I think they get it backdated I guess the same thing happens every year
