Stamp duty - higher or lower rate?

My son and I live in a house that was left to us 50/50 by my mother.  I am purchasing my own property and moving out.  The new property will be my main residence but I am not selling my share of my mother's house.  Do I pay the higher or lower stamp duty rate?
