Bailiffs

Hi
I moved house about 1.5 years ago and I have had in that time 3 parking penalties from airports for stopping to turn round.the problem I have is these have gone to my old address and they did not send it back or contact me as they had my details but now I have had 3 bailiffs after me as I did not know about them in the sum off nearly one thousand pounds. I understand its my mistakes but is there anything I can do due to no real contact to my new address.
They also had my ex partners details and they probably contacted him before me.
Thanks

You need to post this on the parking ticket subforum.
Include where the parking tickets were from and the parking scammers who issued them, then have a read of the stickies telling you what to do at each stage of the process. They are trying to frighten you into paying up without a fight, and these tickets can be fought.https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/parking-tickets-fines-parking
Don’t engage with the scammers until you’ve had some proper advice frim
the parking forum experts, and whatever you do don’t phone them. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

We are 90% sure her x partner had her fawarded mail but never did anything to send to her or contact her why it ended up getting this far. She was in temp abomination till about six months ago and all her information is correct now as to why she finally got the bailiff letters.
Thanks again0 -
It’s not been to court. These are debt collectors, They have far less powers than they would like you to believe. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Done for what?
She could have had her post forwarded to a postbox, or a friend or relative. It’s no use running round in circles trying to apportion blame. She needs to sort out the situation as it is.
Please post on the parking forum as advised. Some companies threaten court but never do it. I don’t have enough knowledge to be able to properly help, but they will.Or rather as they are your girlfriend’s tickets, she probably needs to post it herself. Third-party information tends to get very confusing otherwise.
I will reiterate. They are not bailiffs, they are debt collectors and in order to enforce any money they would need to get a CCJ. With the help of the forum (if it even gets that far) she can fight that in court, plus any inflated charges that they’ve added on that they can’t justify.Just because they are threatening to go to court doesn’t mean that they will, and if they do, it doesn’t mean that they will win.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
