Hi All,
I am considering an IFA to go over my finances, pension pot etc. but I am not sure how to find someone that is reputable in NI. Can anyone help, please?

I'm not in NI but I think the same advice would apply = find someone who has used an IFA and get an opinion from them.
Here in England there's something about setting up a free initial appointment with an IFA - basically they can do their sales pitch and you can tell them what you're after and then you can decide if you can work together. I did this with a few IFAs last year and found some too pushy or not having the specialised knowledge that I require. I didn't mind people saying "I don't know about that but could find out" but did get annoyed at those who dismissed my questions as unimportant without giving any reason. They came across as if saying "oh don't bother your pretty head about such big issues, let them men deal with it!!"
If you have have pension pots have your tried the pension advice service as a first stop to get some general info on what you might do with that bit of your finances?
