That`s the beauty of the self managed debt process, you can employ whatever tactics you see fit to get to the end game.
You need to encourage sale of your debt, non payment usually has that effect, debt purchasing companies buy debts in bulk for a fraction of their face value, so once they have had your account on their books for a while, they will be wanting to offload it, they do this by encouraging you to accept a settlement offer, if at all possible, as they like to turnover their loan books periodically, and bring in fresh accounts.

Offers differ dependant on age of the debt and company policy, even the time of year, end of the tax year always a good time, it`s all about negotiation, you can cut a large chunk of time off your DMP by doing this.

so if it is moved sold on do you have to do CCA action again?
I have Dyslexia which is a learning difficulty that primarily affects the skills involved in accurate and fluent word reading and spelling so some post may not make sense.

Sending a request under section 77/79 consumer credit act, is normally something you would do only once, but it`s always a good way to determine your position, especially with older accounts that may have been sold on more than once.
