Fraud
It came to my attention today that scammers have got hold of my name , address, date of birth and email address + phone numbers.
Utility supplier alerted me they tried to verbally gain access to my DD details and failed.
Then mobile phone provider sent me a text and email to say they had tried to verbally access my account and failed.
Checked above is valid via call backs etc (on wife’s mobile).
Got notes added to bank accounts, savings , bonds etc.
Changed passwords everywhere.
Clever scammers - got a call from mobile provider security on my landline. He sounded very convincing and said someone had failed to buy a new mobile blah blah and was trying to get me to swap my number to a new SIM.
I asked for name and his number to call back and number is a Tesco store in London.
He even said someone would call me back in 48 hours if they didn’t hear from me.
Guess if they got my mobile number on their device they could then get my two way authentication codes?
My question is;
If they try and take a loan out on my name using my address, what is the best way to monitor this?
I already have an alert set up on house deeds aka loans or changes to house deeds.
Could do without this hassle as I’m recovering from blood cancer stem cell transplant and my mind isn’t as clear as it could be. But I’m still alert to these things
thanks for any help

Mobile phone fraud department chap said he listened to record ing of person trying to obtain access to my mobile phone account and he said he was a well known voice to them. Thanks for also recommending CIFAS.0 -
You can also now 'lock' your Experian Credit Report which makes it incredibly difficult / impossible for lenders to access your report and make a definitive decision resulting in a decline.
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
