Does OS draw more people who lived through frugaller eras? Or do you think the millennial/Gen Z push for minimalism and zero waste contributes?
Do you think that the results will be skewed simply by the generations of people who still use forums verses social media?
Do you think OS (as a principle) will increase or decrease in the next ten years
**All brackets are a rough guide. If you're on the cusp you can go with whichever you usually define yourself as**

Thank you - I have finally found out what Gen Z means!4

Me too, but where do the “names” come from?

The ‘Greatest Generation’ won WWI.
Silenters were named as the result of a Time article in 1951 ‘The most startling fact about the younger generation is its silence’. Which is a bit unfair as they started many of the movements that resulted in changes the Boomers get credit for.
Boomers - post war baby boom (all those silenters who married young!).
Gen X weren’t really named until the 1990s - and are still often overlooked. They’re just the generation between Boomers and Millenials (named because they were entering the workplace around the millennium)… Millenials were briefly known as Gen Y, which is how we got to Gen Z (sometimes iGen due to the impact of the iPhone etc on their generation, or Zoomers as they entered the workplace around the pandemic with the remote work culture). The post 2012 cohort is Gen Alpha or Polars after the political polarisation during their early years (it’ll probably change as it’s often what happens around the time the first representatives of the generation enter the workplace that defines them).4 -
