It does happen sometimes. My Aqua account had late payment markers and my Nationwide one had late payment markers and a default. They both now show as paid and closed with 6 years of green ticks. It was a long fight with Nationwide, two years from initial complaint to a clean credit report, being escalated to the FOS along the way with lots of chasing from when Nationwide hadn't done what they said in their own offer.
