Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
Seems to be an ok morning, still dark.
Yesterday was a lovely day, quite warm and mainly sunny.
We went out for a walk in the afternoon, it was very pleasant.
I'm going to the Book Club in the library this morning, and have some things to take to the charity shop across the road from the library.
That's about it really.
Hope our poorlies are feeling a bit better today.
Take care folks.

Morning All
Lovely weather yesterday afternoon, all the washing was dried and put away, just a couple of things to iron. Grass cut and the tomato plants taken out - my brown bin is full so it will all have to wait until next time.
WM on again, will peg it out before I go into work as it's due to be another nice day, hopefully the children will be settled with some sunshine and most of last week off (wishful thinking there).
Hope your DD had a good birthday Coxy.
Are you going to see the new arrival WL?
Must leave early this morning as there's a problem on the roads today. Enjoy Monday, take care. XX10 -
Morning all. There was a glorious sunset last night, I stood at my front door for ages watching the sun disappear over Jura. It really gladdens my heart, it also keeps me going when the weather is foul and everything is freezing cold.WL - congratulations, that's such happy news. 🎉
I'll have to read more of yesterday's thread to catch up. Hugs to all our poorlies.Happy Monday to all.9 -
Morning folks. It's cloudy out there but the sun is trying its best to rise above the moors so I live in hope of a bit of brightness to come.
For the first time in 11 days I am intending to go out and venture down into town today. My meds have patiently been awaiting collection all that time and if I don't make the effort I will soon run out. I have been trying to rebook the cancelled appointments in vain. It was easy enough to cancel on line but for some reason I can't rebook them! Perhaps they think I am trying to get a 2nd jab straightaway, who knows. Even the hairdresser hasn't got back to me yet.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and MIA. Take care all be safe xx

Izzy - your gospel choir sounds lovely. I have absolutely no faith but really enjoy gospel songs and (sometimes) old traditional hymns, think it's a throwback to my childhood Sunday School days.Ruby - I hope that your back hasn't seized up after all that planting.TA - take it all very easy!I've got a white washing on the go though I have to go out at 10.00a.m. for my exercise class which is in the village hall at the next loch up. The day is forecasted to be dry until about 3.00p.m. Fingers are crossed.9

Morning all
Thank you for your congratulations regarding DGS number 2; to be called Charlie, although Charles will be put on the official document thingy when they get to the Registry Office. We went over yesterday morning and had a cuddle and a cuppa but then the In Laws appeared so we left before it got too crowded.
Today I'll be getting the bus to MK to pay in DH's cheque, as he's going out for lunch elsewhere with friends. We still have defrosted chicken from Saturday's meal that never happened so I'll be making it into Thai curry today. Has anyone got or used either of the Persiana cookbooks? I've seen a few photos of recipes online and they looked very interesting.
Onwards and upwards folks. Hope you get on ok when you go out TA.

Morning everyone
Lovely blue skies here, it's forecast to be sunny all day.
Little one was delivered on Saturday afternoon and stayed overnight. She was full of cold so we stayed indoors on Saturday and did lots of jigsaws, played games and read stories - a lovely afternoon. Sorted some games she's too big for as I've got some bags getting picked up by one of our charity shops on Wednesday.
Yesterday we went down to mam and dads - well little one flew down as she was wearing fairy wings...and wellies haha
We had a lovely long cuddle and read her library books after lunch and then spent most of the afternoon in the garden in the sunshine. We planted daffodil and crocus bulbs , not as many as you though Redruby, and then I did some cutting back and tidying, while she pottered about and pretended a long stick she'd found on our way home was a javelin. We both enjoyed the last two cornettos out of the freezer sitting in the sunshine.
We had a lovely time together, chatting about this and that, with her telling me everything she's been doing at school. She has a visit to the village church this week for Harvest festival - at first she told me she couldn't sing me the harvest song they've learnt as it was a secret, but then decided she could if she stood behind the kitchen door so I couldn't see her!
Sorry I'm waffling - but being a granny is just great.
WickedLady - congratulations on your new grandson - I bet you enjoyed your first cuddle. I think little one was 6 weeks old before I got mine and she was still connected to lots of machines.
TA - enjoy your escape into town, but take things easy. I had to change my Covid jab last week when I was poorly, but managed to get a one for next week. This week I have my flu jab.
Oh when I got into DDs car on Saturday, little one says 'your hair's gone a funny colour granny, do you know that?' I said yes I'd been covering the grey bits and I'd left it on a bit too long.( it's a bit darker than usual) Quick as a flash - 'It hasn't really worked, I can see grey at the back.'
Well I'd better get on - hope everyone has a good day x
Oh Gers, try the duchess programme, you'll enjoy it ...it's on channel 4 x10 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x,
DD and I went to the local Italian last night. I had mushroom risotto, coke zero and a mint tea. I did have a few brownie/flapjack bites when the outlaws came over though – much needed…..
I’m in the office today and tomorrow. Usually do Monday and Wednesday but there’s a train strike planned. Boss left to go to Bristol at midday, so I’m hoping for a quiet afternoon and an early dart. DH is home from his camping trip today and we haven’t spoken since Thursday which is a bit weird. Dinner tonight is an easy SW recipe of chilli stir fry beef.
Take it easy when you go out @Travellingabuela
Lovely name @WickedLady4 and glad you got an early cuddle.
@dp1 I can’t wait to be a grandma – won’t be anytime soon though I don’t expect ☹
Have a good day all
Coxy
