Morning All
Wet and windy this morning but not too bad, I would imagine it's quite rough where you are Gers. I was expecting the storm to start yesterday afternoon but it just rained.
Hope the poorlies are feeling better today, rest is best.
I have the little one this morning but I'll go to their house. I have a little shopping to do then we'll go back and play for a while, her Mummy is going to the wedding venue so won't be too long. DD is without a car so we can drop her at the station and pick her up again later if the weather is bad. There's a parcel to collect from Asda so will do that on the way.
Caught up with a few things on TV yesterday, a good rest day for me!
Hope you all have a good day and are safe from the storm. Take care. XX8 -
Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc. The forecasted storm didn't make an appearance yesterday, there was only very fine light drizzle in the afternoon. High winds came and went very quickly. I only went out for some veggies which I seem to have forgotten to buy on Tuesday. Last night there was a bout of noisy high winds though again it was only a brief bout. This morning I'm going to the pool for the exercise class.I hope that everyone has been safe if the storm hit Happy Thursday to all.9

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Hope everyone is okay this morning x
I am WFH. DH is off to Wales for a camping trip with buddies. I hope he will have missed the worse of the storm fingers-crossed.
DD and I are making a healthy chicken katsu curry recipe tonight - looking forward to that. I need to post a card first thing as DIL2B's birthday is Sunday (same day as DD but I won't see her in person beforehand). Also need more milk. There's some ironing to do so I'll sort that after work - don't mind doing it if I've something decent to watch on TV!
Hope our poorlies are doing better today x

Morning all, it's a bit dull here but ok. Thanks nmlc hope your family member is home soon.Yesterday I went to hobby craft to see where my order was, & I've been refunded as it 'got lost in the system'. They suggested ordering again, but I had to change my password and now it says it's not correct. They didn't have what I wanted in store, I'm in 2 minds now whether to leave it.I met with my cousins for lunch, which was nice, it's been ages since our last meet up.I have a mr t order coming shortly. There is a sub I'm not too happy with, & I ordered some 1st&2nd stamps which are out of stock. The fridge is pretty empty so I'll probably accept the sub, but I know DH will moan at the replacement.Right better get my bags ready.Sorry to hear Jackie is unwell and back in hospital, get well wishes winging their way over to her, and anyone else struggling with health too. Morning all. I could hear the wind last night but not too bad here really.
Yesterday was busy at the Larder but we had some leftover greens, which I took home for my neighbour's rabbit. Today I have cooking to do and will make a start on a sauce for the veggie lasagne. I've also found a tub of pasta sauce in the fridge so will add that to the mix.
DH has had a refund for his car tax but it's a cheque so he'll deal with that this morning. We're going to spend some Tesco Reward vouchers and go out for lunch, in the hope that the dishwasher gets fully fixed tomorrow. I've got another AGM to attend tonight and I've bought a couple of small gifts for retiring Officers so have put that bag on the chair next to my handbag so I don't set off without it!
@Taff; are you still in Italy on holiday? Haven't seen you posting for ages

Morning everyone
It was wet and windy last night but not too wild - this morning it's dry and still a bit windy, but not too bad.
I went to the doctors late afternoon, I have a chest infection and an ear infection so I've got antibiotics and tablets for the dizziness. She also sent me a link to some neck exercises which seem to be helping already. She also said to work just the 4 afternoons rather than the 5 I was trying to do, but I'd realised I was trying to do too much. She asked after little one, as she always does, so I showed her a photo of her in her uniform on her first day at school - she was delighted to hear how well she is doing. She probably saved her life at one point as she was the only doctor in the practise who would listen to DD and sent them straight to hospital - the next day she had her first feeding tube fitted.
Anyways I'm waffling - lazy day for me - my plans are only to finish reading Sunday's Times and get these DVDs sorted - I'm going to keep some and pack others away in a big bag to go to a charity shop next time I go to town. There are a few boxed sets I'll try on Ebay first, but if they don't sell they'll go to a charity shop too.
Right, I'm going to get on - hope everyone has a good day today x7 -
Morning all
Well yesterday's storm was barely anything here at all in North Devon despite predictions. A little windy, some rain, but probably not even as bad as the previous week!
Not much scheduled for today, just measure up for a replacement letter box, run a duster around, and wash the leather sofas. Fajitas from a box for teaMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here but no rain due till this evening, i have an unexpected day off today and yesterday as I went to collect Rob 14 mile round trip only to be kept waiting on the doorstep for 10 minutes till his mum finally answered she said oh I’m sorry he is not well and I’ve lost your phone number 🙄 I have written my number down at least six times for her and she keeps losing them, anyway I went in for 10 minutes and she said he won’t be in tomorrow either but could I still go over and collect something to drop it off for her, I must have looked a bit shocked as she then said well you are being paid, yes I am being paid to look after Rob not as a courier service for you ! I emailed her my numbers and she replied saying that he was still poorly and I could collect the thing next week which is fine but the whole fiasco has made me look at my mileage for Rob and I’ve worked out that it costs me approximately £25 to collect him and run him round for the two days so I have applied to his Social worker to be able to claim I just can’t afford it with the petrol prices as they are, she will not be happy but needs must!Sorry that was really long winded 😬 so today I am taking my mum out she wants to go to Dunelm to look for some curtain poles and to hobby craft, we will probably get some lunch out as well. Knowing her she will want to go to the butchers as well to stock up which is fine.
Not sure about dinner tonight I will go and look after this, I have put a wash on this morning but it will have to go on the airer.
Have good days all and take care xx6 -

Hello all, I think we missed the storm as we only had some gusts of wind.
Another day recovering the chairs, just one more to do then some hoovering around of the dining room.
Have a good day everyone.
Take care all
