I dont have a rail card but sometimes travel by train on various different train companies ie no specific one . Most commonly i use scotrail, south eastern trains, avanti, LNER , SW railway, southern trains
Is there a way i can get some cashback on train tickets i buy online. I have previously used the quidco website but have noticed that the price is a few pence higher than buying via national rail website which cancels out any cashback. I also have a nectar card and clubcard

Some companies, LNER for instance, offer a moneyback scheme called LNER Perks for buying future tickets

Always worth checking Tesco clubcard/nectar to see if they have any offers to swap points for money off on travel, maybe as a special offer.
Various cashback credit cards of course, including some variants of Amex (generally acceptable by rail websites, and not all Amex cards have fees although the ones that do can also have more generous perks)
some of the train operator websites upsell into a cashback website at the end of a ticket booking process.
Also, do you have any "benefits" website via your employer (operated by companies such as Edened, BenefitsHub, RewardGateway but may be "branded" by your employer; some also accessible to broader public via other memberships you may have, some newspapers etc.). Maybe cashback or special offers there.
Not sure of anything more general than that--and allowing for the fact that any Train operator website can book any rail ticket (although sometimes misses out operator specific deals), if one operator website offers a deal but others do not.0 -

You can book any journey via LNER.0

You can buy GB rail tickets on the Uber app - till the end of the year they are offering 10% rebate in Uber credits (which you can use to buy more train tickets).
Even better if you can buy Uber gift cards at less than face value through an employer's perks scheme or similar.

LNER is on Airtime Rewards, though the spend threshold varies by customer. Mine is currently a minimum of £70 - I can buy £70 in vouchers from LNER and get £3.50 off my phone bill.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

If you have any Lloyds banking group cards - they have a rewards scheme - at present I have one for 5% of Avanti West coast rail. I have not tried to use it to book tickets with other companies.1
