Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air is feeling cooler, but forecast is for showers today.
Dinner last night was LO roast - eaten and enjoyed. Tonight I'm not sure maybe sausage pasta or all day breakfast.
Work ok yesterday, will see how today goes.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's still dark, but I don't think it's quite as windy. Yesterday wasn't bad.
Congrats Coxy! Sorry, meant to say yesterday.
Abbafan, sorry to hear that your husband's work stress is affecting life at home, so difficult for you. Is it related to an incident, or just everything? Hope it can be resolved.
Poor you TA, all you can do is rest and take painkillers, if they help. The bad throat is like swallowing broken glass.
Nothing much planned for today, I might break out and do some ironing whoo hoo! We'll probably go to the quiz tonight.
Thinking of our poorly people, Carolbee, TA and anyone else who is not well.
Take care folks.

Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off nmlc
It's just getting light here and I think the forecast is ok.
Hope you are feeling a bit better today TA?
Gers fingers crossed your car is ready.
I need to collect my new glasses today, otherwise no plans.
Hope you all have a good Tuesday. x9 -
Morning folks - it's very windy here, not boding well for the day.Yesterday was mostly frustrating. I really enjoyed the class and the chat afterwards then, when home I kept trying to ring the car bodyshop to check if my car was ready. No joy, I think that their phone lines must have been down as even an email didn't get a reply. So, I'm heading off down there on the off chance. Tomorrow is when Storm Agnes is due to make an appearance and it'd mean another day of car hire charges. If I'm lucky all will be well, if not I've had a trip out.
The weather is back to being mild, wet and windy so my journey shouldn't be bad.
My cleaner has left everything all spick and span though she has a habit of not putting things back in their correct place so I go around moving stuff. This morning the news came in of the death of David McCallum - my all time favourite actor. I was fascinated by the Men from U.N.C.L.E. and even joined their fan club, something I never did for even The Beatles. From Sapphire and Steel to NCIS he has been part of my TV watching life for ever since I can remember, along with Dr Who!I hope that our poorlies are feeling even a little bit better. Happy Tuesday to all.10 -
Morning all, much better here, just a bit of a lingering cough now. Get well soon TA, I hope you’re soon better.
out for coffee with friends this afternoon.Carolbee11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Hope you manage to get your car back today @Gers - safe travels x
I am WFH today. Have just seen DD off to work. She still has no contract and the school office manager said yesterday "Oh....you're not volunteering??" which made her a bit stressed. Hopefully this will be sorted out this week via the agency.
DS1 came back from holiday yesterday and collected pup whilst I was at work. The house feels empty without him. Such good therapy having a furry friend around
Dinner is a new SW recipe of roasted sausage supper using fennel which we rarely have. Looking forward to it.
Hugs to all those who are poorly. Rest up and stay warm x
Have a good day all

Morning All
I have a few unexpected days off from work - we're on strike. I really didn't think it would come to this but I'll enjoy the time at home and get some jobs done.
The little one was here yesterday, good fun all round and ended up taking her home too as DD's car isn't too well. We played with the lego, mostly finding the 'men's heads', played some games and had a good chat. I'll have her again on Thursday whilst DD goes to the wedding venue to sort out a few things.
Great weather yesterday afternoon so the washing was all dried, even did the ironing this morning as I was up far too early! Dry for the moment but rain due soon. I'll go up to the allotment this morning to clear some more things away - may cut the squash to ripen in the greenhouse, doubt they will do much more growing now.
Hope the poorlies are feeling better today. Take care. XX10 -
Morning all
Dry here for now but it looks very gloomy and overcast out, only one chap coming today as the other lady is on holiday, he wants to go to a local town and have a walk and then look around the shops we will stop and have a cuppa somewhere and then I will drop him home.
Not sure about dinner tonight I will go and look after this I know there are some pork chops so it may be them, I have run the hoover round this morning and had a quick tidy.
TA I hope you are feeling a bit better xxx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all; gloomy here too.
Yesterday was a lovely sunny day and I got all my washing dried, swept the patio and even did a bit of weeding in the front garden before making some savoury seeded crackers, which were very easy to make and yummy to eat with cheese for lunch. After lunch we went out geocaching for a couple of hours then called in to Lidl for a few bits on the way home.
Today DD is meant to be calling round so I'll wait and see how the day develops. Will put some pork steaks in the slow cooker and then I'm out to an AGM this evening.
Have a good day everyone.9 -
Morning everyone
Hope you're feeling better soon TA.
I have my Covid booster tomorrow and then my flu jab next week. I had another couple of dizzy spells yesterday and have tried to get a doctors appointment, but the receptionist I spoke to wasn't giving any up! I have a telephone appointment booked and wanted to change it to a face to face but she wouldn't or couldn't. I'll try again tomorrow.
Spoke to Citizens Advice yesterday and was advised to reply to the tribunal stating everything I disagree with from DWPs latest letter - starting with them saying I have a different illness!
I had a nice chat with eldest DD last night - she is now home, in Germany. She felt ill most of the way home - so a 18 hour journey seemed even longer! She'd managed to eat a little last night and has had a good long sleep - she says she feels a bit better this morning. She's having the day off and will go back to work tomorrow. Then she's going to Sicily on Friday for the weekend....
Better get on. Hope everyone has a good day x
