  • Well done on getting the card cleared.
Thanks, though seems I was a bit over eager in doing it and forgot about a refund due on it. Ooops.

No very true, I'll just do a food shop on it and transfer the difference to the card to clear it. It will be somewhere between £45-50 going back on it just waiting for confirmation of total after they deduct postage return fee.

  • Happy payday weekend. Fresh month starting this weekend which is always nice.

Yesterday was a spendy day, nails, massage and coffee. But all budgeted for from last months Money.

This month I have given myself an extra £50 spending money with Christmas coming up and 2 away games for football. I also have the week between Xmas and new year off and have already started making plans. Good news is that I will have spare travel money thanks to Xmas and new year falling on a Wednesday which is office day. That will go towards the travel costs for football.

I have decided to start using my chase account to manage my weekly food and spending money. I think it will make me think twice about spending as monthly amount always seems like I have loads left yet don't think about the things I have to pay out for. It also makes me stick to a weekly food budget.

I'm taking a break from repaying the loan to my dad in the build up to mortgage renewal in case I don't stay with my current provider. This will definitely help with building the Sinking fund back up in time for May-Nov when the expensive months come.

No they aren't but it's only way I can keep my back pain levels down. I try to budget one a month and pay £35 for 45 mins which I think is good value.

  • Mine is £30 for 30 mins or £40 for an hour. So similar pricing.  She also does Reflexology, Indian head Massage, Hopi Ear candles etc. So she is very skilled therapist. Been going to her for years now.  Its great because I can just tell he what hurts the most and she knows exactly what to do.  I agree it definitely helps keep back pain down, especially as I've got older.

Hahaha yes for sure! I double checked all my figures and knew it was totally doable and I'd still have some savings left for an emergency

  • Nice chilled weekend for me, Saturday i went to Tesco and did a shop before watching football for the rest of the day. Sunday was family Xmas lunch out which was nice to see everyone but the roast dinner not so much. I took £20 in cash but only needed £15 so got £5 left in my purse. Also withdrew the cash to go in my nephews Christmas card. I only have my brother left to buy for, which I think will probably be fudge if I can get to a Christmas Market before Xmas.

I am scheduling my budgeting week from a Friday to Thursday and seems to be working so far. I have £30 left in my Chase account for a mini top up shop and anything else I may need this week.

I have dentist today which will come from my health and beauty pot, need to have a filling done i think. Also booked in for another massage on Friday which will come from same pot. I have a really bad knot on my shoulder blade which is causing me lots of pain. I need to then try and go through until the new year for my next one or find funds elsewhere before Christmas if another is needed.

I got as far as hanging the clothes to sell on vinted on the hanging rail, I now just need to take pictures and post them up. Though debating doing items on fb first as they are taking up more room.
