I got a bit trigger happy with some of my savings pots and miscalculated. So have had to borrow from my emergency fund. Ooops. Guess that will be next month's focus! That's still £600 left in it which would cover most emergencies I may have. I'm not going to stress over it.

I'm another who managed to get a month ahead prior to retiring.  It's really helpful with so many different paydays!  DH and I get our state pensions weekly so 8 paydays; I also have a small AVC pension and a works pension so we have 10 paydays a month.  As we're living on last month's money it doesn't matter that there are so many days with money coming in because it will be used next month.

@Sarahwithlove - I'd keep your money earning interest while your CCs are interest free.  You might as well be earning a bit on interest on them and the money will be there to pay the cards off when the 0% interest finishes.

Omg 10 pay days would be awful to manage!

Yes the sensible part of me knows just keep it in savings but other part is like be gone debt! Good news is that most of it is in savings that need 24 hrs notice so that's putting me off for now.

No point stressing, it won't alter the outcome!

I'd struggle with 10 paydays too. I currently have 4 and that's hard.

I used to save up money unto the joint when I was with my ex so at Christmas I could have a month of payments off. Always easier to.fo when there's two wages going into it x
    September 2017 Debt = £25330

    Starting afresh.

You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x

I quite like having the 10 paydays!  Means I get to play with my YNAB and deciding which pot each payment can go to!  I'm currently trying to save for a big holiday for May 26 when DH will be 75 - need to save quite a bit as he wants to go on a cruise!

I'd struggle with 4 unless they are close together but even then. I'd definitely want to get a month ahead

    A cruise sounds lovely!

I can't keep up with my couple and never know if I can spend some or not. I'm just trialing a different card for all other expenditure at the minute x

Oh that would be nice. I've always wanted to go on a cruise. I don't have ynab anymore I do miss it but having monzo pots is similar for me.

Happy Friday. LSD for me, used cash I had in my purse to buy some bakery items from Lid! I resisted the drive thru coffee as didn't have enough cash. Tomorrow is fresh budget day, pots are all filled up ready.

Tomorrow is coffee with ex work colleagues in the morning, no lunch out with cousins this week but football in afternoon. I think it might be my turn to get the coffee which could be £25 gone from my personal spends. I also need to get a new ferry ticket though so that will be £20 from the travel budget, but it lasts about 2 months on average. Then its train fare which will be £4 as well. I'll try to get free parking as well and just walk the extra distance. It can be hit and miss though as to whether any is available.

Sunday I'm visiting my uncle and his wife to help him apply for ESA as he's just had an op on his knee done. So they've taken away his JSA as he can't look for work. Then I'm planning on going back to the gym as I really need to get back into it.

I'm also trying intermittent fasting again with calorie counting as I need to regain control. I don't want another summer of feeling this hot and sweaty due to my weight. That does mean healthier food which could impact on the food budget but I'll try and be sensible.

Forgot to say another item has sold on Vinted so £4 to come my way. Will post it in morning on way to coffee.

Getting a month ahead is something that has always been a target for me but it is slow progress to get to that point, something always seems to come up. We also have 4 pay days through the month so we treat each Monday as the payday and reset the budget at that point. We normally refresh the food and petrol budget and also the weekly school meal money.

It sounds like you have a busy weekend coming up, hope you enjoy it :)
