I have an Aldi memory foam pillow - it's great. I think it was about £12.

Netto have them for £9.99 starting thursday, might be worth trying one at that price?

One thing I do know about is beds and mattresses. I'm not calling anyone a liar, you have obviously been misinformed.

Memory foam does not give any bounce, therefore there must be a layer under the memory foam otherwise you will be engulfed by the mattress as you sink right into it.

The mattress would either have a layer of reflex foam under the memory foam, or there would be a layer of springs.

The other possibility is that you have fallen victim to one of the dodgy sellers who tell people that reflex foam mattresses are actually memory foam.

That 'dodgy seller' is my cousin who is the most honest person I know. I've taken a picture of the mattress without any cover and it is solid memory foam. As soon as I can use my partners card read I will send you the picture. Apology awaited.

If you push down on the mattress with your hand then take it away, how long does the imprint last for, or does it return to it's original shape immediately?

Also how deep is the mattress?

Could you also tell me the make and model of the mattress?

The reason I ask is because sometimes even sellers are given duff information and then sell them on as memory foam oblivious to the fact that they aren't memory foam. The only tome you should find one that is pure memory foam would be a topper, not a mattress. If you had a mattress that wassay 8" deep make of 100% memory foam, you would sink right into it almost the full depth. It would engulf you and make you too hot.
