Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air is feeling cooler, but forecast for a drier day.
Dinner last night was fish, hot new potatoes and veg. Tonight I'm not sure, but food shopping this morning so will organise then.
Chores to do today so will get on it.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all
Tired here today, struggling as a night owl in a morning person world with a 6am alarm! I think today will be a rest day as we have a five hour round trip to the passport office tomorrow. For dinner I'm not sure as normally DS and I have something basic like soup on beans on toast on a Friday as DH works. But he's strained his muscles after running 12 miles yesterday, so if he's home it'll probably be bolognese.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Morning folks. It's very grey outside.Despite the foul weather yesterday I went to the pool session and thoroughly enjoyed it. The exercises were more difficult than I expected, something I needed. The calves liver was my reward. I'd found a couple of almost out of date pouches of diced sweet potato so I fried one up with some frozen veggies and then made a cream sauce with a drop of cooking sherry. A complete concoction but it turned out to be very tasty. I'll have the same today to use up the second pouch and piece of liver.I'll do some shopping today, looking at my almost empty fridge reminds me of the days of my first job when I seemed to live on baked beans and jacket potatoes for at least two weeks out of every month.Another memory zoomed into me yesterday when 'bridge over troubled water' was played on the radio. I could see myself being collected from grammar school by my DM in her new Austin 1100 and this tune being played. Once I even got her to wait for it to finish when we arrived home too early. It was such a lovely memory to bring to mind. 😍
I hope that everyone is doing really fine. Happy Friday to all.11 -
Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off nmlc
Weather today is much better and the wind has died down, although it's getting much cooler.
Yesterday I went shopping with a friend, which was much better than shopping on my own.
I have no plans for today, so will go for a walk into the village.
Hope everyone has a fab Friday - take care. xx10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another bright start for us but light rain is forecast for later this afternoon.
Yesterday was nice too, but chilly in the wind when the sun hid under clouds. I took my new kneeler/sitter out in the back and managed to sit down to cut back the large clumps of Japanese anemone which were taking over and shedding petals like mad. I still have lots of cutting back to do in the front when the legs co-operate.
The bed got changed too and bedding washed and dried. The kitchen and bathroom cleaned too so I was a busy bee for a change! Today is dust and vac all around day.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Morning all, thanks nmlc, hope all the chores get done.Iris glad you enjoyed shopping with your friend.I always loved that song Gers.Good luck home hunting thara.Hope Dh ligament eases Flamingo..I had quite a busy day yesterday, first I went swimming at the towncentre pool, not been for ages.Normally go to a women only session on Wednesdays but it got busier and busier, Thursday was much quieter. Called on the market , bought some salmon and some sea bass from a different stall to the one I usually visit. The seller was very kind and filleted the sea bass for me & checked the salmon side for bones- last time we had salmon DS1 got a fine bone stuck in his throat
& cheaper than the sm. Next to see my veg man, then wished my bag wasn't so heavy.Achy shoulders today- was it the swimming or carrying my bags
If I'd thought about it ,I could have taken my library book back too. Probably chicken for tea.
A stay at home day today apart from getting DGS from school later. I have to give a bag to his friends mum with overnight things in ready for a sleepover tomorrow. We will hand the boy himself overoutside the stadium after the football match tomorrow as they go too.
Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)8 -
Morning all
Not raining here atm but more due this afternoon and evening, day off for me today which is needed as I am still not sleeping very well. Carpet man is due around 10 this morning so by mid afternoon we should have a nice cosy carpet down which will help with the noise too.
I have also got a consultant’s appointment at midday for the pre- cancerous spot on my face I’m hoping that she will cut it out there and then but we will see, it would be good to get rid of it.
DD on a late shift tonight so just OH and I here for dinner, I will go and look in the freezer after this to get something out. There is a wash on the go but that can be hung indoors.
Nanny hope you are ok xxx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all. Bright and sunny here at the moment.
Had a fairly relaxed day yesterday and met friends for coffee. After lunch DH unfortunately spent 3 hours at the car dealership buying his new to him car. Part of it was that they had to go to a local post office to tax it, as they wouldn't do it beforehand. We now have car keys wrapped in foil at home and he's ordered some Faraday pouches, as it's one of these keyless wonders!
Today he is putting a light up in the loft for DD so I might go out for a walk if the weather stays fine. I did get the grass cut yesterday before it rained. Have just got some meatballs out of the freezer for tonight and have broccoli to go with them.
Have a good day everyone.9 -

Morning all@Gers I remember and loved that song too and went out from school during lunch break to buy it in the record shop down the road!Just come back from shopping so having a coffee after putting it all away. I like to go on my exercise bike at least 3-4 times a week to stop my arthritic knees from seizing up, so that's next on the list. The only other exciting thing happening today is my flu jab.Take care all x9
