Train Season Ticket - Another 'Any Permitted Route' query (shorter journey)

Hi, Apologies that the 'Permitted Route' question has been on here a few times but I can't see this specific query.
I need to travel to London Waterloo on a weekly basis and therfore want a season or flexi ticket.
My local station (Chandlers Ford) changes at Southampton Airport Parkway.
I will mostly travel from the latter but will occasionally travel from my local station (C/F) too so I was going to buy a season ticket for the longer journey on the assumption that I could travel from either with this ticket. Strangley the longer journey (C/F) is cheaper which suggests I might have a problem when travelling from Parkway.
My logic was that its en-route so qualifies as 'Any Permitted Route' but I guess their logic may be that the limited trains from my local station reduce the incidents where I can travel to Waterloo hence the reduced price.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Is it a through train from CF to Waterloo or does it require a change at Parkway?
Does the Parkway station have ticket barriers to access platforms?
As an aside, surely a Season Ticket isn't the most cost effective way of making this journey only one day a week?0 -
Surely if travelling from Chandlers Ford to Waterloo one would change at Eastleigh.
A ticket from Chandlers Ford to Waterloo is not valid for travel via Southampton Airport Parkway.
This thread would be better placed on the Public transport & cycling board rather that the Motoring board.2 -
You can either get Chandlers Ford - London at £166.10/week, and add on single £3.10 or day return £4.20 from Eastleigh to Soton Airport (or £14.30/week). Or £170.40 for Soton Airport - London and add on £3.10 single £4 return Eastleigh - Chandlers Ford (£14.30/week)0
