Heya. I had a nice dinner at a restaurant in order to treat myself. It happens once every four weeks. I was unwell but on the mend now since late Tuesday afternoon. Thank you so much.9

Morning All
I'll say this quietly - it's stopped raining (for now). We have had biblical rain for the last few days and I don't like it! Washing on the pulley and the airer, may need to put it in the TD to finish it off later.
Happy new house NRA, hope the move went smoothly.
Glad you enjoyed your meal out thara.
Not much happening here at Camelot castle - put all the summer stuff away only to find that it could warm up again next week. Never mind, if I need anything it only needs a quick iron.
I'm going to see my elderly Aunt tomorrow and will stay overnight, hopefully good cousin and her DH will come over too. Horrid cousin is thankfully away for the weekend!
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX10 -
Morning lovely people. the sun is currently trying to rise above the moors, it's lovely to see some brightness in the sky!
What a soggy day out we had yesterday! Torrential rain all the way and even worse when we got there. We had gone in a bank for the indoor cash machine when the rain changed to a monsoon. The lovely ladies let us relax on the sofa in there until it eased slightly. We dashed to the pub for our lunch and expected it quiet in view of the weather. Not so, it was heaving! Fortunately we found a table ok but it was rather noisier than usual. Lunch was enjoyed nonetheless. Apart from some toiletries the only other spending was a jumper reduced and reduced again down to £8 so that was snapped up.
Today I must shake off he slothful mood I have found myself in and catch up on some jobs. Everywhere has been neglected after the upset of last week. I have just trailed around aimlessly and tearfully, looking but not doing.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. CAMELOT have a nice w/e and what good timing with not nice cousin away! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning folks.Yesterday's promise of a bright day fizzled away like sherbet in the torrential rain and blustering wind. Despite my good intentions I didn't set foot outside, slumped into sloth and wrote emails. My day withered away. ☹️ As I didn't go to my aqua-cycling class I booked myself onto a hydromobility class this morning instead. The weather may be just as bad though I will go, can't sit around again. After my session I need to do a small shop as my plan was to do a big shop this morning, my fridge is practically empty with only mustard, mayo and tins of tonic in it. Instead of refilling the fridge I've taken some lovely calves liver out of the freezer for lunch, have frozen veggies and Idohan potato to mix. Shopping can wait until tomorrow.Camelot - have a good journey south, your aunt will be happy to see you.Nan - special hugs to you and your OH.
Snoozer - enjoy your holiday.Happy Thursday to all.9 -
Morning all
Its dry here for now but rain due later again - getting slightly fed up with rain now, I’m off to collect Rob today and take him to work I hope they have an inside job for us.
Dinner tonight will be some pork chops with mash and veg, dd is off today so she will cook I expect. Yesterday after posting I noticed that a shelf had collapsed in my bowl cupboard it was resting on the one below but nothing smashed, I opened the door and went to take the top shelf of bowls out when it collapsed further and smashed into the shelf below smashing my collection of vintage Cornishware to bits 😩 I have collected it for years and had a lovely collection thankfully none of the other bowls were smashed as I have quite a lot, and a few hand painted ones from out travels.
TA sending hugs to you it’s so hard losing a pet xx
Nanny thinking of you all xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all, thanks nmlc. A lovely bright start to the morning - lets hope it lasts a bit. Yesterday I got a warning off DGS mum to wear wellies when I picked him up as the long path was flooded. It runs alongside the sports field which slopes down to meet it. and the water just drains as far as the path & gets deeper so I was glad I'd taken her advice!I think I might go for a swim this morning, not been for ages. I'll need to dig something out of the freezer for tea first, and get the bm going, might do some bread rolls instead. I tidied up the cellar/ craft room yesterday, added more to the cs pile, but I can actually see the desk top now
& made another birthday card and some X mas cards too but quite a few to go, although i think I'll be cutting down on the posted ones with stamps going up again soon.
Thinking of Nanny today, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10 -
Morning all.
The sun is now shining but it bucketed down here last night, so much so that I pulled out of driving down the M1 to get to a dance practice. That set off a trail of others agreeing and the whole evening was cancelled. I was also meant to pick something up for DD on the way so will have to do that today. The Larder was very busy in the morning but I did bring home some frozen pain au chocolat, which we cooked and ate last night.
This morning I'm meeting a couple of girlfriends for coffee and a natter. We will try to find a date for lunch in December, as two of us have big birthdays that month and everywhere gets booked up with Christmas events. I'm still waiting on DS receiving his work rota for the same period so that we can plan things.
The dishwasher is now fixed - hooray! And DH is off to hopefully collect his new car after lunch so things are looking up.
Have a good day everyone.12 -
Morning all, I didn't sleep very well last night and was up at silly o'clock so I may have to have a nana nap later.
Thankyou to everyone for your kind words, her passing was a bit of a shock even though it was expected, it was the speed of it that took us by surprise.
Yesterday I got soaked going for my BP re-check and it is still high so I may get a phone call about it. The surgery was chaotic and I felt sorry for staff as they were run off their feet.
We managed to fold the awning up and put it away in it's bag, then I put away a few more washed van items. I still have the kettle to descale and the electric frying pan needs an extra clean, then they will be packed away. I need to sort out the freezers today before doing an online order, as usual I have forgotten what's in there and doing a list is a waste of time as I don't keep it up to date despite promising myself that I will !
Take care all, stay safe and keep well

Morning everyone we have had a dry bright morning I don’t know how long it will last I think we are due blustery showers and then back to pouring down on Sunday I’ve just come in from one of my cleaning jobs they are away for two weeks so I have done some jobs I wouldn’t normally do pulling furniture out cleaning out cupboards and the fridge but it will just be a polish and any other things I’ve missed this week but upstairs is sparkling so I don’t have to do that next week it must be lovely to have a couple of weeks holiday and come back to a spotless house so I’m having a cuppa and a sit down before I go to work. Then again the bulk of the work has been caught up with there and the boss is away so yesterday I stripped my beds and took them in to do today I have dropped my towels off and they will be ready for me to dry when I go in I am going to take my doormats in and tomorrow I will take my clothes in the other girl has done the same when the cats away there has got to be some perks to the job . Camelot safe journey snoozer enjoy your hols . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Didn't get up at alarm time - tired after yesterday.
Rainy here this morning and a lot cooler.
New paving slabs have had their first wash and drainage seems to be working. Got to pay for the work now.
Got a quote for the back garden to be paved and I asked for a separate one for the side alley.
Don't need to go shopping so plan an easy day.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
