Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air is feeling cooler, rain forecast and hopefully wind has died down it was very windy yesterday.
Dinner last night was braised pork steaks, with LO yorkshires and mash added some veg. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be eating. Will sort this afternoon, short work day today.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning
Horrendously windy here in North Devon the last few hours. I forgot thr take down the trampoline enclosure so have tossed and turned worrying about that for a while! Didn't think it was wise to try to go out alone and do it at 4am!
Today looks thankfully quiet, so will d the essentials and then take a self-care day I think. Fingers crossed the wind goes soonMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Morning All
What a wet and windy night, still raining as it has been since Sunday but feels milder this morning.
So sorry to hear of your DNiece Nanny, hope she's comfortable.
Enjoy driving your 'squashed fly' Gers.
Hope you've slept better Ruby.
Our special visitors were lovely, I made them tea - maybe that helped! Not sure of the outcome at the moment, I'm sure we will hear soon. Oddly the troublesome children were quite calm yesterday.
I'm going to put away all my summer clothes later, I think we're done with them until next year!
Have a good day, take care. XX10 -
Morning folks. Yesterday wasn't quite as bad as the predicted forecast but it made up for it through the night. I was awake at silly o'clock listening to the wind battering us. It's supposed to die down a bit later.
Not the best of days for it but our bus trip days resume today after one thing and another postponing them. If it's Skipton I doubt there will be many market stalls set up in this wind so we will be reduced to bargain hunting in the cs. Followed by an extended wine 'n' dine lunch as we have much catching up to do.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care and be safe xx

Horrible day here it’s been raining all night and the howling wind it looks like winter out there ! Off to collect Rob today and take him to work let’s hope they have some indoor jobs for us to do !I took the guys to see the Barbie movie yesterday - not my thing at all but it was not as bad as I feared, the seats were like reclining armchairs and so comfortable I nearly dozed off.
Dinner tonight will be filled pasta with salad and garlic bread nice and easy.
Nanny I was so sorry to hear about your niece sending lots of love to you all xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning folks.Last night the weather was just wild, mind you the day was very wet too. I couldn't quite work out the windscreen wipers controls on this hire car, found single and double speed just not ordinary speed so drove home operating the wipers on single. 😀
This morning the skies are much brighter with lots of blue bits showing. I've got my aqua-cycling class early afternoon which I'm looking forward to. There's some almost wilted salad and two eggs to use up today, I'll go shopping tomorrow.Camelot - my fingers are crossed!I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Wednesday to all.10 -
Morning all. Dry here today but it's due to rain later.
Yesterday I took the bus to the City Centre and had a meander. Tried on some tops in JL and Next but had to scale down 2 sizes in Next because of the shape. Needless to say I didn't buy either of them but I'll keep my eyes on new things coming in. Ended up buying some yellow stickered nectarines, raspberries and a pack of full priced buns in M&S after checking out their clothes. Am also vaguely looking for some new black lace up shoes and wondered about sketchers so might go back and try on a pair sometime.
Today I have an extra morning at the Larder, as some people are away on holiday, plus we should be getting the dishwasher fixed - hooray! We've defrosted some sausages to eat later but need to buy potatoes and a few other things.
Have a good day everyone.10 -
Morning all, thanks nmlc. Wet & wild again.Nan I am so sorry to hear about your DN, how sadI got soaked yesterday walking back for the bus from the little retail parkAfter I went to the hobby shop & called in Dun elm ,went towards the bus stop and stepped in a puddle so my trainers were soaked
. Decided I just had time to pop into the nearby Al di, bought a chicken joint for tea, rotisserie style, which was lovely, and a bit left for my lunch today. In the afternoon I carried on with my cardmaking, 1 for DGD next week, which I'm pleased with, then more stamping Xmas toppers - probably more of the same, can't be bothered getting wet again unless I have to today!
I have taken a shepherds pie out for tea too Izzy, nice comfort food for horrible weather.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10 -
