Home-Made Cards

My friend's birthday is coming up this month, and I have bought her pressie already, but felt that the prices charged were extortionate and I have now decided to make her card myself. :money:

Does anybody know where I could get blank cards or stuff for the front? Preferably cheap stuff please as I have several mates to buy for on a tight budget! :o

Her birthday is a week exactly away so I really do need advice ASAP! Thanks,

Lakeland do some card-making stuff, and if there is a shop near to you then you may be lucky enough to find some things in the bargains section.

In Cardiff, Inkspot on Newport Road has a sale at the moment and they do do card supplies.

  • Go to your local pound shop and they sell card making kits for a pound ( 8 in a pack). I have gone this route and can honestly say making my own cards has turned out to be a real pleasure not to mention moneysaving. I will never go back to buying cards again. One of my friends also sends me home made cards and it is such a joy to think they have been made especially for me. I have kept them all.

I went to Hobbycraft today and found some lovely cards and decs for them. I have £7 and it cost my £6.37 ( :o ) but when you think of the money you spend on supermarkets' stuff? It can be anything upwards of £2!

Gonna make my card tonight. I am going to make this card-making lark a try, it'll save me money in the long run peeps! :money:
