Sunday is grey, I'm not sure if it will turn brighter later. I put a blanket on my bed last night, could be time to get the second half of the duvet out and aired. My big achievement yesterday 🤔 was getting the grass cut in the back garden. It's more of a tearing really as it was too wet and long for a neat job. There hadn't been any rain all day and the forecast from now on is dire so I decided that it needed at least this one last cut so I squeezed it in. Lots of the cuttings are lying on the ground as it was too wet to get chucked into the bin and some parts are rather churned. But...it looks so much better for the cut and from being scarified earlier this year. I'm content with it and myself. Today's task will be to take the bag of cut grass to the tip.The swallows have mostly gone, the bull has been moved to greener pastures and the evenings are drawing in. Sure signals for hibernation.I enjoyed the new format of the launch show from Strictly last night as well as seeing Hamza, the tribute to Lovely Len and special mention of Amy. And there's no long gap before the first live show. Small things! My thoughts are with our poorlies and those who are sad. Happy Sunday to all.9

Morning all.
Dull here today and, like up with Gers, the weather is forecast to be cool and wet for most of the coming week. I hope to get out and carry on cutting back the lavender in the front garden; can only do up to 10 mins at a time as my back then starts to ache.
Last night's do at the brewery went well. They were having an open evening where members could go round and try any of their beers so it was very well attended. It got too dark to see after 8pm so we packed up and I was home in time to catch a bit of the rugby.
Today I have washing in the machine, ironing to do later but I'd like to get out for a walk before any rain comes. The repair man has had to order us a new motor for the dishwasher and will be back to fit it on Wednesday so tonight's meal will be grilled lamb steaks with some roasted veg, which shouldn't be too hard to wash up!
Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.9 -
Morning everyone it’s grey and wet here I think that’s the forecast for the rest of the week we are going to go to a shopping centre today hubby has decided he is to cold on a night he needs a warm duvet cover mine apparently are all cold material this is because when we were away the covers were a brushed cotton it’s never been known for him to feel the cold he must be getting old when the GK were little they couldn’t understand how other peoples grandad didn’t wear shorts all the time I even bought him some long trousers the other week and a pair of joggers for in the house. Strictly was fab last night I’ve got my favourites already but looking forward to the outfits and the dancing lovely tribute to Len and the lovely Amy will be a miss . Chicken to cook for later I will do veg and Yorkshire puddings otherwise not a lot going on I don’t watch a lot of television but I have been watching the woman in the wall I still don’t know if I like it or not it will be finished in a couple of weeks and I get the feeling I will either say well that was strange or that was brilliant we will see enough of my waffling. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

I don't have any grass to mow, however, keeping the cats out of my flower beds is a nightmare.

Dry here for now but rain due later and for the rest of the week by the look of it, I’m doing a roast today and mum will come up I’ve got a nice bit of pork and roasties and will do a cauliflower cheese and roasted butternut squash, I will need to nip out and get a pudding as mum loves a pudding.
Dogs to be walked later but I might leave that to OH if it’s raining, I shall be too busy cooking 😬
