Mortgage offer expiring

Hello. I am a newbie posting here.
I am in a position to exchange on my sale but due to severe conveyancing delays from my buyers' side, who kept failing mortgage applications and not returning documents, I am now unable to proceed with my purchase as my mortgage offer expires before my seller can book his removals. It has been a horrendous last 6 months.

My solicitor has requested a mortgage extension to my lender for an extra week. We are waiting, it's been 3 days. I am not hopeful so I now have to reapply and lose a good deal.
Any chance my extension will be granted? I know it is discussed here but contexts change so fast.
Thank you

Depends on the lender. Can call them or check online if they offer extension.

Maybe if you stated the bank, brokers or others might know if they offer extension.
  • Lender is Santander. As stated above, not up to me, not even the broker, request had to be coming from my conveyancer. Thank you though
