Hi all
i applied for a mortgage with bluestone and received an offer
i applied for a mortgage with bluestone and received an offer
Offer states “you are not bound by the terms of this offer until you have signed the mortgage deed and your mortgage has completed”
so I therefore assume I’m not tied in
but later down it says “if you wish to proceed with the mortgage we’ve offered you please sign the direct debit mandate”
I was sent the direct debit mandate separately and signed and returned it.
I now don’t wish to complete the mortgage as unfortunately my circumstances have changed. I now need to move in with my partner for personal reasons (in a different area. She rents her home)
can I withdraw?
I was advised the solicitor wants to complete on Monday “all being well if the funds come over in time” and all they are waiting for is for me to do the pre-completion call.

I need to withdraw - is this possible now?
I don’t recall seeing any deeds, I certainly haven’t posted anything and nobody has witnessed anything?
How can they complete on Monday if I haven’t signed the deeds?

Dont worry your fine.
If you dont complete the pre-completion call they wont release the money.
But call your solicitor and ask them to not complete - follow it up with an email to them.

Is this a property purchase, if it is have you exchanged? Or is it a remortgage? Where is the property situated.?0
-
It’s a remortgage
The broker has asked for my building insurance (I thought I’d sent it to him but must have forgotten)
and I’m sure they mentioned a pre completion call, but I haven’t had that either0 -
Does the direct debit count as deeds? I’m really confused, do bluestone send out deeds? How would we complete on Monday if it’s Thursday now and I haven’t signed the deed0
-
Bluestone are pretty good in that regard, if they have everything by 1pm (sometimes later) on the day of completion they will still try to release the money.
But no the DD is not the deed. There is usually a page towards the back of the offer?
----- Stop worrying ----- (I cant emphasise this enough).
Call the solicitors in the morning and ask them to not complete. They wont complete.
You have not done the security call so Bluestone wont (or at least should not) release the money. That call is a security check, it is one of the things they MUST do in order to complete. If it has not taken place they wont complete.
Email your broker and ask them to cancel the application and follow it up with a call.
