Looking for Mortgage Charter Advice!!!

Me and My partner have little over 8 months to run on our current fixed deal. We are considering making use of the Mortgage Charter and switching to paying interest only for the 6 months to help with costs, before making a decision at the end of our current fixed deal. At the end of that fixed deal, if we chose to switch to a new lender, would we be entitled to use the charter again with that lender, or is it the case once we have taken up the opportunity, that door closes?
Many Thanks, Tom & Kate.

Just a suggestion, but if you are planning to switch lenders I'd be inclined not to make use of the Charter right before you do so, as I wouldn't be surprised to find them asking if you have made use of the Charter, in the same way they were asking about taking payment holidays during Covid, and it isn't going to look good to give the impression you were struggling to pay the lower interest rate on the current fix...0
