Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your days off.
Very autumnul this morning with a stiff breeze, lots of rain yesterday after a good start, the summer has definitely gone now.
Happy Anniversary for yesterday Rosy, enjoy your day out today.
Your poor DD Ruby, what a rotten end to a holiday.
Glad you had a good holiday WL.
Fingers crossed for your DH Florence.
Enjoy your break Gers.
I have a haircut after work then a quick trip to the dentist (again). My teeth aren't quite meeting on one side and I'm worried I will break the new crown, hopefully he can work his magic.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care. XX8 -

I am back from the hike - we walked from Arkholme (10 miles north of Lancaster) to Crewe. Did not bank on a heatwave and it was tough going at times. However we raised some money, met some lovely people and laughed a lot, so time well spent. It was my birthday on Sunday so we had a lovely (non-MSE) meal out with the children and DIL2B. I have also been into the office twice this week. Double busy.
I have skim read back over the last 2 weeks. Happy belated birthday to @Florenceem and @dp1 xx Happy Holidays to @-taff, @izzybee and @TravellingAbuela x
I'm WFH the next two days. Will do a washload and get it on the line today. Dinner is chicken pesto pasta. DD has a temp job in a school working with autistic children. She is sad that her degree result was a 2:2 and not the 2:1 she was predicted so we've had many tears this week. Does not help that her meds have run out as she's still registered with the uni GP. She has requested an emergency prescription but it's still not been sorted. We have been encouraging her to apply for jobs in the NHS - just need to keep the faith and hope one works out.
Hope all the littlies are settling well at their respective nurseries and schools. Seems ages ago that I was doing the school run. Time just goes so fast!
Have a good day everyone and hugs if you need one.

Morning all.The museum of flight was very interesting even though I thought it wouldn't be. My friends took in more as they wandered around the huge site investigating the many outbuildings. They particularly enjoyed going into Concorde. I liked the cabinets with Lego models of various famous feats such as Brunel's Great Western Tunnel. The day was warm and sunny. This morning it's time to go home. I have to stop off in Glasgow to collect orders from Boots and Marks and do some shopping.Camelot- I hope that you can be re-aligned OK.Happy Thursday to all.8

Morning all.
Bright and sunny here so I have put a small load of washing in the machine. For some reason I can't find a nice grey stripey shirt of DH's and one of my better blue t shirts. I know they were there before we went away for the weekend as DH commented I shouldn't be putting them in the white washing pile and now they've vanished completely! No doubt they will appear at some point.
We have a video call with DH's sister and BiL in Sydney later this morning. Have arranged it for 7.30pm their time but they are often still eating and ask us to call back later.
Other than that I've offered to make cake for someone's birthday next week; she says anything is acceptable so will have a think about what to make and see what ingredients I've got in.
Enjoy your day everyone.8 -

Seems very chilly here this morning very autumnal it looks like it will be another nice day though, I’m off to collect Rob today and take him to meet with another lady and her client to go bowling and then a McDonald’s which Rob will love.
Not sure about dinner tonight I will go and look after this we have plenty in so won’t starve, house is fairly up together and no washing to do.
Day off tomorrow but it’s going to be a busy one I have to drop mum off for an appointment at the hospital and then take my car in for a service and pick up a courtesy car, there is something wrong with the clutch on mine so hopefully they can sort it, I then have to get my nails done and potentially collect mum if I get back in time.
Camelot I hope they can sort your teeth xx
Coxy Happy Birthday for Sunday xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning from murky Mehefinland.
Its ages since I last posted, about the time of the mass murdering I think. However life plods on with variations on a theme.
a quick precis: have been transferred from the big teaching hospital which was a pain to get to, to a more local clinic for my glaucoma checks. What a difference!! All done and dusted and ok for another 6 months.
Been discharged from Haemotology dept ( at a different hospital ) after my episode around xmas. now have to go to Gastro entorology back at the first hosp.
Leg still aching from my accident last August. what a lot of woes!!
Mrs M is on countdown to being made VR. She is an MOD employee and the station is shutting. They had a closing/anniversary do in August (85years established). A fly past ( 2 Hawks on their way back.to Anglesey) and a parade in the nearest town. All very low key. Sad to see them going - my Dad helped build the place in 1938 and we have had some connection for many years. i pushed a mower around the place as a student job!
Got rid of our old horsebox as we dont really use it and it had been parked up since before covid. Two new batteries and it started first turn... typical!!
Nags are ok, although Scoobymare is aging and is stiff in the mornings. Our new farrier may not have helped as he altered her front shoes/feet and she is suffering a bit. It will sort itself out given time. Mrs m is riding Showman quite a lot to try and keep a bit of weight off him( she wont let me drive him again after our accident)... the grass has really shot up in the field in the last few weeks. Almost enough to take a hay cut. Fairy pony is a round as she is tall.. a bit of a worry but short of keeping them in all the time all we can do is manage their time out grazing. Its a Catch 22.
think thats it for the time being. Oh and in case anyone is wondering about my atrocious punctuation the apostrophe/at key is only workin intermittently- a bit like me lol
Hugs and spoons as always. Take care and enjoy the end of the summer weather if you can

Mehefin nice to see you posting

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone a million and one things going round my head at the moment.

Morning everyone
I've been out for some shopping this morning - I didn't ned much - just fresh fruit, yogurt and bread/rolls. It was chilly when I went but has warmed up a bit now that the sun has come out.
Mehefin - nice to 'see' you
Gers - you made me smile, I would have liked the Lego models best too. I sat for ages at nursery yesterday building the little lego people back up and putting them in a separate box. They'll not survive long - a small person will come along and pull all their heads and legs back off!
Little one is still loving school - she has her first PE lesson today and was so excited to go to school wearing her PE clothes. Staff in her classroom are all trained now to look after her needs so we don't have to go across from nursery anymore. Those staff will train the others in school. Everything is going well so far - she keeps them right!
DD is loving her time in Bali - she's been somewhere in the jungle surrounded by waterfalls and rice fields the last few days.
Better go as it's almost time to go down to work and I haven't made my packed lunch yet. Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone,
We've had a busy week with our guests. Trip to Grantchester for a walk and pub meal on Monday, Golf and pottering on Tuesday and yesterday we went to London. We did a Sherlock escape room in the afternoon (fun but we didn't finish it) and then to the Temptations juke box musical. Not really my cup of tea but it was enjoyable.
Today we'll take it easy, I want to check the house plants, I'm determined not to kill them off this time. I bought a couple of big ones from Lidl, they are such good value.
Coxy, well done, you must feel such a sense of achievement. Tell your DD that in a couple of years no-one will care what her degree result was, she'll be fine (although it is a disappointment when you don't get the result you expect). Belated happy birthday as well.
Mehefin, nice to hear your news.
Rosy, happy anniversary for yesterday.
Have a good day,
