Very old debts

I have recently successfully agreed monthly payments with all creditors, I was worried but all have been pretty straightforward,.
It has however awoken some old debts, which one of the company's must have bought at some time.
At least ten years old, I probably made a few payments 10 years ago, then just stopped when I moved house etc, so ten + years ago no contact since recently agreeing terms on recent creditors.
Am I still liable for these. Or due to time involved should I just forget them?
They are payday loans etc, greenwood most of whoom are no longer trading
Cheers

Any debt for which you have not paid or made written acknowledgement in the last 6 years (England and Wales) is statute barred, unless:
a) They got a CCJ before the 6 year limit and that is not yet 6 years old at which point it will become unenforceable.
b) They've got creative and tried to allocate money you've sent for one of your other debts to the old one, in the hope you'll crumble.
Have you checked all your credit records?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
You are still liable for statute barred debts, under England/Wales law. But they are unenforceable and therefore of lower priority.
Worth mentioning that once there has been a six-year gap in payment, it is statute barred and stays that way, dexpite what the debt companies will tell you0 -
Thanks men
They are so old they are not on credit file any more.
Should I ignore them, or contact them to tell them to politely do one?
Is there a template letter?

There is a template letter in the sticky at the top of the board. You could ignore them, but it might reduce the levels of hassle if they have it pointed out to them that they are wasting their time, energy and postage in chasing for payment as you know where you stand on these.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
