Morning All
Much cooler again this morning but dry, we seem to have missed the worst of the rain that swamped many places locally yesterday thank goodness.
Horrendous day at work yesterday, if it hadn't been nearly home time I would have walked out - I don't get paid enough for so much abuse from parents when we are trying to keep their children safe. I shall be putting in a formal complaint today.
Anyway, the allotment kept me sane and I picked a huge bag full of green beans, I'll keep some for the freezer but I gave away loads to the neighbours and will take some into work. I think the good weather from last week has given everything a new lease of life.
Hope you're feeling better this morning Ruby.
How was the exercise class Gers?
Have a good day, take care. XX8 -
Morning all.Camelot - I'm so sorry that you had such an awful day. Some parents these days are so unthinking, uncaring and hugely disrespectful. I hope that your complaint is taken seriously. 😘
The 'steady and strong' class was really good. A lot of chair-based yet challenging stuff along with some walking and standing things. A lot of it I could do at home though the point is that I wouldn't. The group were welcoming and there was tea / coffee afterwards. Amazingly, two of the group who were visitors to the area turned out to have mutual friends of mine in Glasgow. I say friends, one is long deceased and the other is an acquaintance, but how bizarre. Made for good chatter. Anyway, I'll go again as I felt that I worked hard at it.Last night my oldest nephew booked a family visit to his youngest brother near to Brisbane who we all stayed with this time last year. I had hoped for a Christmas visit but it was too complicated and too late to book time off for him and his wife. This way it's easier. I just hope that the Easter Bunny can find the boys. 😂Today I'm heading off for a couple of days to near North Berwick. I'm meeting up with my old friends from Newcastle, mostly to explore the Museum of Flight as the husband was in the RAF during WW2. It should be interesting and I'm looking forward to see them again. There was just a bit of rain during early evening yesterday and then a glorious sunset so my hopes are high for a good day. Already the band of low mist over the sea is beginning to thin.Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Tuesday to all.8 -
Good morning, it's damp and much cooler here.
Sorry to read that you had a bad time at work Camelot, hope something can be done. You wonder at the mindset of these people.
Hope you enjoy your day Gers.
I'm meeting a couple of friends for coffee this morning, and we'll go to the quiz tonight.
That's about it!
Thinking of any poorly people, and hope you have a better day today Camelot.
Take care folks.8 -
Morning folks. After a lovely day yesterday, today is just the opposite! Heavy rain at the minute and to stick around all day.
Just washed my breakfast pots etc up. I am missing my DW I seem to be forever washing up here!
Camelot is it any wonder some of the kids are badly behaved with parents like that setting an example. I hope today is a better day for you.
Have a good day folks if you can and take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7 -
Morning all
Its a bit wet and overcast here which is typical as we were heading to a friends beach hut today 🙄 I’m hoping it will brighten up a bit, one of my Tuesday people loves swimming in the sea so I hope she can go in.
I slept very well last night after having very little sleep the night before, and big pups leg seems to be much better.
DD finally arrived back yesterday evening around 7 -almost 24 hours late, they got taken to a hotel at 5.30 in the morning to have a few hours sleep, they were given a £2.99 voucher for food and drink which wouldn’t even buy a cup of tea ! They are going to put a claim in for the cancelled flight the other girl lost two days of work, at least they are home now.
Camelot I’m sorry you had such a bad day at work, I hope today is better for you xxx
Not sure about dinner tonight I will go and look in the freezer after this.
Have good days all and take care xx

Thanks nmlc, have a good day at work. Morning all, very wet here, think it's rained all night- we seem to have the same weather as you TA!Camelot, that's appalling behaviour, don't blame you for being so annoyed. Hope it's a better day for you today.Have a good trip Gers.Enjoy your coffee out Scarlet.I need to pop out today to get DH an anniversary card for tomorrow, been racking my brains trying to think where there is somewhere in the town centre that sells them now !I made a loaf yesterday afternoon, and took it out when we got back with DGS. He wanted a piece but had to wait ( not long enough...) for it to cool. Cut the crust off and he had that, then wanted some toasted & when DS2 came to collect him, he helped himself too, and practically wrecked it trying to cut the still warm loaf. Note to self - bake it in the morning! I've just seen a lovely photo of DGS with his little ( half) sister who is starting at the school nursery today, bless her she looks so small next to him.Tea will be something with mince, to be decided later.Have a good day everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Cloudy here at the moment.
DGs J has arrived to paint the new doors. Prime then undercoat - don't know how many he is planning to tackle this morning.
I had an old door and some lengths of wood outside by the garage door - gone this morning - hope it was the Freegler who wanted to collect.
I planned to bake muffins this morning and take them along to SA but have decided to have a day at home - first for 3 weeks.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning everyone
It's a lot cooler here this morning but dry - yesterday turned out to be a lovely sunny day. I sat outside and read for a while after work.
Camelot - that's terrible, hope you have a better day today and your complaint is taking seriously.
Rosyred - you'll have to hide your bread! It is delicious when it's fresh.
Nothing much to report - Eldest DD is having a great time in Bali and little one is loving school...she has made friends with some of the older girls and is loving playing with them at playtime - I say older - they're six!
Hope everyone has a good day today x6 -
Hi everyone
I've been in and out of here for years, I'm trying to avoid the time sink of the socials, because they become mindless scrolling with very little value!
Today is drizzly, but the new school run means no lie in. My autistic son transitioned to secondary last week, and primary was at the end of our road, so we could wake as late as 8:30 and still scrape by. Now his school bus comes at 7:05 and more complicated uniform means a 6 o'clock start. As a night owl it's so challenging, but the school has a special unit for autistic kids when are okay educationally but struggle socially and emotional so need added support. It's an incredible school, but 10 miles away
Off to my coffee and crafting session this morning, then onto so FlyLady to get my house sorted
Hope everyone has a lovely dayMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.
