self assessment - cgt

Hi, I've sold some ESPP (US company - shares) beginning of this year and the captial gain is within the cgt allowance (£12300 yr 2022-2023) do I need to do self assessment? no tax will be due.
I tried the self assessment check tool (https://www.gov.uk/check-if-you-need-tax-return) to check and it says that I don't need to do SA. But as this is capital gain from "foreign", not sure if SA is needed... or this is just a case of notifying HMRC - by phone? HMRC phone line is quite jammed... still trying... Many thanks for you help.

In short - you don’t if this is the only reason for which you believe that you require a completed return.0

Yes this is the only thing that I think it might require an SA. Other income are all via PAYE.
