Getting light but warm already - forecast is for another warm day. Had a short thunder and lightening storm with rain yesterday evening but didn't amount to much.  Still humid.

Lunch yesterday was roast pork, some LO's for another meal.

Back to work today, LO's and use up for dinner tonight.

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work goes ok.
It's a damp start, I don''t know if it's going to rain.
Yesterday, after a hot and sunny morning, we had a tremendous thunderstorm in the afternoon , the rain was torrential. 
No particular plans for today, just the usual household jobs.
Thoughts to anyone who is poorly.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Morning All

The heat has definitely gone this morning, yesterday was very warm and muggy with some rain but not the promised thunder storms. We did go through some torrential rain on the way back from Glasgow.

Lovely afternoon tea and a wander around some shops before going to the hell that was Costco - I'm sure it isn't that busy at Christmas time. Still, I'm all stocked up with toilet rolls!

I have a funeral to go to today, one of the Dads at school, not looking forward to that at all.

Washing on the pulley which should be dry by the time I get home then I can iron a few things and get them put away for winter (again).

Hot here this morning.
Up early as we are being picked up just after 9.
Church sang happy birthday to me yesterday and I was asked by someone what I was doing today - well starting the day with a funeral.

Good morning folks. 

Is it your birthday today Florence? If so, 🎂 I hope that your day gets better after the funeral. 

I took the washing in just in time to avoid the rain yesterday afternoon. Not the forecasted thunderstorm rain, more fine persistent heavy drizzle. It's definitely cooler too.  My decision to not go out for breakfast was a good one. Instead I used up two eggs which I had with bread from the freezer. 

Today I'm going to a 'strong and steady' exercise class at a nearby village hall. Not sure if it's for me but I'm up for trying. I'll miss my aqua-cycling class this week. Snoozer - well done on going to the Aqua-fit class, it's such a good workout. Lunch will be a salad using up everything in the fridge. 

I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Monday to all.

Yes it's my birthday today.

Morning all, looks very dull & grey, and we've had some heavy rain. It's much cooler too, yesterday was very warm. We watched DGDs team playing football, and DGSs on Saturday, which was even warmer. One of the boys was a bit overcome with the heat and had to come off & go home, but he was ok afterwards.

Yesterday DH took the car to be washed so I took the opportunity to call in a nearby L idl for some staples like olive oil, tinned toms, jam etc.

 Happy Birthday Florence, hope you can enjoy your day after the sadness of the funeral .

Morning all

Its much cooler here today and very overcast it’s nice though that it’s not that hot as I find it a bit uncomfortable.
 I am just debating if I should cancel todays lady I have not slept very well at all, dd’s flight was due to leave at 10 last night it was delayed for two hours then they finally got on the plane only to sit for another two hours, they eventually got them back off the plane and cancelled the flight completely ! She text me at 3 this morning to say they were putting them up in a hotel for the night they were shattered poor things and I only got a couple of hours sleep so am feeling a bit jaded ! They are supposed to be on a flight at 4 this afternoon so fingers crossed 🤞 

Big pup seems to have hurt her leg again poor thing is really suffering, she has not been out for a wee for hours, I will take her to the vet if there is no improvement.

Dinner tonight will be scampi and chips with peas, nice and easy.

Happy Birthday Florence x
I went to Alnwick Gardens with DD and little one on Saturday - it was lovely there with hot sunshine - little one enjoyed getting wet. She came back with me for a sleepover - yesterday we went down to mam and dads in the morning. We had a picnic lunch outside before the weather changed and the rain started. I taught her how to play 'grown-up' dominoes and then we sat and read stories until DD picked her up. I discovered I had two boxes of dominoes so she took one home with her - she said I can take her farm animals dominoes to nursery cos she's too big for them now.
This morning I have a few jobs to do before I go to work - first full week so I'll probably be shattered by Friday.
Eldest DD has been sending lovely photos of Bali.

Greetings folks from my peaceful retreat in Nidderdale. Here until next Sunday.The sun is currently shining.and the sky is blue but sadly not going to last according to forecast.  We got the spectacular thunderstorm as well late yesterday afternoon.The rain was torrential. It feels much fresher out this morning thank goodness.
