It's a slightly dull morning though the clouds are clearing. Cooks be storms ahead.I think I'm going to go out for breakfast, I just fancy a wee treat. Meanwhile, Happy Sunday to all.5

I'm sitting enjoying the cool air, it was so hot yesterday (30 degrees) and forecast to be the same today, then it cools. Our friends are arriving this afternoon from the Wirral so I think they will notice a difference in the temp, although they are sun worshippers so they should enjoy it.
We spent the day tidying and cleaning yesterday and the house looks great so although I said I wanted peace and quiet I don't think we would have achieved half as much as if the friends weren't coming. They've not been down for a while because of covid and Steve being ill so it will be nice to spend some time with them. He is Steve's oldest friend, they've known each other since they were two.
Have a good day.6 -

Morning allWell I haven't been visited by that spider overnight thank goodness! Someone has been burning rubbish nearby and I've woken up a couple of times in the night because of the hot weather and smelt stale smoke. It's still there this morning grrrrr. Another quiet day as the temperature is high again. Spent most of yesterday afternoon reading in the garden and then watching the footie and the rugby later on.Today I have a little bit of ironing to do, then a T*sco delivery. Having a BBQ later and more reading in the garden methinksHave a good day all x6

Morning All
The weather has broken, much cooler today with some showers overnight. Shame, I was quite enjoying some good weather for a change.
I had the little one overnight on Friday, she wasn't for going to sleep but was quite happy. Still up early yesterday bless her!
Her Mummy and Daddy came a bit later than they had planned as their car got locked in the car park overnight in Glasgow and DD had to go and get it before they could come for her. We had a good brunch and a chat before they went home.
I had a cull of bank accounts yesterday, I had opened quite a few when they had good offers on but they have all finished now and I don't need them. I've also requested a switch from my main account as the new bank are offering a fair bit to change over - thanks Martin.
Swimming this morning then an afternoon tea in Glasgow with a good friend who had a birthday yesterday - may do a bit of browsing whilst I'm there and could do with a visit to Costco for supplies and fill up with fuel as it's so much cheaper there than locally.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, take care. XX5 -
Morning everyone.
I have posted on the other threadxx5 -
Snoozer - I'm sure that you will enjoy your friends and your sparkling house! Adult company is always a pleasure.Chrisca - I get those spiders with very long legs, almost daddy-long-legs, which linger in corners but catch the flies. As long as they stay well away from me I'm OK with them, mostly!Camelot - well done on your financial stuff, especially the switch. I did one in August from a barely used account and now have a nice amount of free money for the ten second effort. Whilst in bed this morning I shifted some dosh into my cash ISA, it's good to think of all that saving tax.Iris - xMy mind has changed about breakfast already - not sure if I'm whimsical or flexible! I decided to put a wash on in the hopes of getting it out on the line and dry before the predicated rains hit after noon. Also, I have plenty to eat up here which I don't want to waste. I'm away from Tuesday until Thursday evening next week.5
