As title. A US forum suggested that the NYT xword Fri is harder, Monday is the easiest.
My favourites are the quick coffee time, cryptic Daily Mirror., D. Mail and D.T now and again.

Yes, The Telegraph Cryptic generally get's harder through the week, ending with the prize one on Saturday, but it' does depend a bit on how well your personal mindset matches that of the particular compiler, as it's a different compiler every day.1

in the past I have bought the Independent or Telegraph and can't say I ever noticed differences in difficulty later in the week, in fact, Monday after a Sunday night out was more challenging1
