This site saved Christmas dinner last year when I did beef, can you help with Turkey?

One year my mum had her butcher take all the bones out of the turkey and replaced them all with sausages.
It was delicious but it looked... interesting! Kind of like what you'd imagine Hannibal Lecter might do to his Christmas dinner :eek:0 -

I want to cook a traditional Christmas dinner and all the trimmings but I'm so worried my turkey will be dry and the rest will just not be that tasty. Please please help to advise me how to cook a great Christmas dinner. I would really appreciate it xx
Sorry, clicked reply and then realised I haven't read all replies, so it may have already been suggested but get onto the THIS MORNING website and follow Phil Vickery's recipe for Turkey. Dead easy........no faffing about and the moistest turkey you'll ever eat.

That made me laugh0 -
I keep it quite simple as it's my christmas too. I buy a roast from frozen turkey breast ... no bones, easy to carve and even comes in it's own roasting foil tin.
I prepare the veggies the day before and use frozen yorkshire puddings, roast parsnips and roast potatoes. I buy pork and chestnut stuffing from the same store twiggy models for!;) That's really yum.
I do make my own gravy and apple sauce as no one likes cranberry here.
Add a few glasses of wine, a party popper or two, some christmas crackers, candles on the table and christmas songs on the CD and your off!
Dessert is christmas pudding and cream or custard or apple crumble (homemade earlier and frozen) for those that don't like the pud.
No more than three nice cheeses and a few crackers, some green grapes, a few mints and a pot of strong coffee.

Oh and in case you can't find a drunk fool, I forgot to say that using foil dishes (or lining some trays with foil) saves a huge amount of the clearing up. Not very MSE but it is Christmas!0
