How does one navigate the myriad of fund classes
for example was looking at some L&G funds, as far as I can tell the only difference between the I and C classes of this fund is that the I class has higher on going charges, this seems to be reflected is the small differences in the performance data. Why would anyone choose I over C?

Class C is not widely available.    Class F was their direct to fund house version.  Class I is the standard version that is widely available on most platforms.

Different classes are available from different sellers.

The lowest priced classes are only available from platforms that do a large amount of business with the fund provider.  The highest price class normally applies if you buy the fund directly in small quantities.
