Asking prospective employer to pay salary into another (EU) country account.

I wonder whether it is wise to ask at an interview?TELLIT01 said:It would be a question to ask at interview but I doubt you would get an immediate 'Yes' for the reasons outlined by others. Just because it's possible to make payments to overseas accounts doesn't mean an employer would.
Would it be a point of caution to a prospective employer and jeopardise securing the job? If I was interviewing, it might trigger some of the following thoughts in my mind:- Is the individual genuinely UK based and available for work in UK?
- Is the individual committed to UK life or is this some stopgap while they find employment in their home country?
- Is this some kind of tax issue?
- Are there costs associated with this? Bank fees, currency change fees, complexity around the amount deposited in EURO varying even though sterling submission is constant?
Obviously, the challenge for the OP is if they only have overseas account and funds must be remitted accordingly, it is too late to wait until they started.
The OP states they are a UK resident, so I would have thought many parts of life would be just "simpler" if they had a UK sterling bank account.
It is not obvious why the OP can't simply be paid in sterling to UK bank and then do whatever transfers overseas they wish under their own control.alexglobal24 said:Hi,
For some reasons I want my salary to be paid into another (EU) country accounts. I am a UK resident.
I wonder if its as simple as asking a manager/hr or?

As an (ex)employer, my first question would be, as others have said, 'Why?' You would need to be a lot more forthcoming as to why you would like this to happen than for 'some reasons.'And, if you are going to ask for your salary to be paid abroad, I'd certainly couch your request in different terms. I stress the word request because, in your post, you state 'I want my salary to be paid into another (EU) country.'To many employers what you're asking would be a huge red flag.
