Getting light but warm already - forecast is for another warm day.  Wash load in WM hope to peg out before  shopping.

Dinner last night wash fish, chips, beans/veg.

Busy day today.

Morning All

What a warm night! All the windows are open, there's not a breath of air and I'm melting already! There was a little shower of rain when I left work yesterday but none here although it looked threatening.

Washing nearly finished, that can be pegged out before I go to work. House reasonably clean and tidy, will do the housework tomorrow once the little one has gone home - I'm collecting her on the way home and bringing her here for a sleepover whilst her Mummy and Daddy go to a wedding reception. It's her 4th birthday next week but they will be at Alton Towers so she can have her presents today.

Work was surprisingly calm yesterday, not sure what happened. It would be lovely if we can have another day the same but I'm not holding my breath.

Have a good holiday Izzy, you deserve a rest.
Good to hear the new school starters enjoyed themselves.

Morning all

A hot night and a hot and sticky morning.  Woke too early because of the heat so I can see an early night coming up!  Washing already hung out and I've come back to bed with a cuppa, tv news and my laptop.  Off out food shopping later and also need to buy a new washing basket as the handle on mine was threatening to split and did so while I was taking it out into the garden this morning.

Lovely to hear all the happy stories of little 'uns starting school/nursery. Memories, memories.

Surprised to see that today is the anniversary of our Queen's death.  How quickly that came around.  We were in Greece trying to get home after 3 days of our holiday when DH had a medical problem and we had to come home and then we heard that our flight was cancelled while waiting at the airport for said flight!  A certain orange airline blamed it on problems relating to Her Majesty's death!

Morning folks. 

What a day it was yesterday, so much lovely sunshine, far too hot to be productive but great for sitting out with plenty of coming back in for cooling down. 😀  At about 5.30pm the sky went almost completely dark then a short lived but ferocious thunder and lightning cracked the sky. The thunder rolled across the sky for a good 15 secs each time, then the rains came. I'd just gone out to mow the lawn so the mower was hurriedly put back in the barn. Twenty minutes later the sky cleared and a most beautiful sunset started. 

This morning I woke to find thick low cloud over everything. Now there's hints of baby pink and blue creeping through, the day could be another scorcher. I need to do a shopping trip so may have to linger by the freezer cabinets a bit. 😀

I hope that everyone is doing fine. Happy Friday to all.

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's going to be another warm day like yesterday, I think.
I went to the shops for bread and a few small bits and pieces, then home for the rest of the day.
Our 2 main rooms face north, so stay cool ( not so good in the winter though)
I spent the rest of the day with my sewing machine working through a little pile of alterations that had built up, so I'm glad to see the back of them.
Glad your dg d enjoyed school Dp1!
Thoughts to anyone who is not well, or has poorly relatives.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC.  A bad night for me too. I woke around 3 am horrendously hot and couldn't get back to sleep. The next 3 hours were spent tossing 'n turning trying to cool down. Today promises to be another scorcher so I expect the same tonight. 

The Friday Tidy to do but I think a half hearted one before it gets hot again. Sparkle has the vets this afternoon and I hope I can get her in her carrier at the first attempt as it's too warm for chasing un - co-operative cats around. 

Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or poorly loved ones. Good to hear the small people are enjoying their new schools/nurseries. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning everyone just finishing my breakfast then we will pack the car have a quick check round make sure I haven’t forgotten anything then away we go I will try and put a couple of photos on during the week I can’t wait of course the dogs in a mood she thinks we are going away and leaving her why she thinks that I don’t know it’s years since we went anywhere without her and then she stayed with my son who she sees at least twice a week . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all. A bit cooler here this morning but I expect it will warm up later.

A few bits of shopping done yesterday and I made a lemon cake to take with us, alongside DH's sausage rolls. We are picking up a friend en route so need to finish packing and leave in a couple of hours.

Ernie has given me a small gift this month so that has been moved to a separate account. It might be needed as my car will be in the garage whilst we're away as I'm sure there's a problem with the air con.

Morning everyone
I'm early this morning as it's little ones first family assembly at school, DD will pick me up on their way. 
I'm very envious of everyone who had lovely sunshine yesterday - we had cloud all day - not a glimmer of sun! It's very misty now - hopefully it will clear later.
Enjoy your holiday Izzy - you must be so ready for it.
Eldest DD had an awful first day of her holiday yesterday - she was flying from Munich to Dubai - there was a problem on the train tracks so her train was about 3 hours late arriving, then there were no trains running to the airport so she had to get a bus which took 2 hours rather than 40 minutes! She knew she was going to miss her flight so she phoned the airline to change it which cost 400 euros. She'll get to Bali about midnight tonight rather than 5pm she had planned on....and then tomorrow can relax.
TA I hope Sparkle cooperates getting in the cat carrier.
