Campaign to end Membership Prices

From Tesco to Prett to AO. All offer one price for non members one to members. Tesco a free membership but forget your club card and you loose the better price. Prett a money subscription gives you "10% off". AO a yearly subscription gives access to better prices. And there is likely more......
Whats worse is they all display the membership price clearer than the non member price. Prett perhaps the worse for this.

This isn't saving money. Your not getting a better deal being a member it's giving you a worse deal if you don't either sell your data or pay a subscription.

I don't think you understand. I assume you mean Pret a Manger? never heard of PRETT.
They give you a better price in exchange for your data which helps their business. You make a choice, nobody is forced to do one of the other."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "1 -
Clubcards can be loaded up on an in-phone app. They also offer keyring things you can put on your keys.
Bit of a non issue really isnt it.1 -

Discount/Loading is always a matter of perspective, over 80% of people have maximum no claims discount and so is it really a "discount" or is it really 20% get a premium loading for not having maximum NCD? (or its old name, No Claims Bonus).
If pricing isnt clear then that is an issue. Fundamentally have no issues with the concept of membership and differential pricing for members -v- non-members. As has already been highlighted in the press the "members price" for a 1L bottle of X may well not be as good a value as a 2L bottle of the same which doesn't have a member discount. Again that's not about stopping the promo but making sure prices are clear and easy to compare.1
