Morning again, and it's a grey one. Though yesterday started off decidedly chilly then was warm and sunny for a bit.
I went to Newcastle, returned the parcel to Lewis's, and went into couple of other shops.
I bought an oven thermometer in Lakeland, then couldn't resist going into Next.
I didn't buy anything there, but they have some nice stuff in, even for old women like me.
After having a coffee I headed back to the bus station, and was home by about 1.30.
We might go for a walk today if it stays fine, we haven't been out much of late so it will do us. good.
Hope everyone is allright, and has a good day today whatever you are doing.
Take care folks.9 -
Good morning folks, thanks for starting us off Scarlet. A wee jaunt to Newcastle sounds lovely.Yesterday was a fine day here. All the bed linen and other stuff dried very quickly in the bright sunshine with only a drift of wind. Today looks as if it'll be rather duller and overcast, perhaps the sun will appear later. Overnight the two bulls were intermittently bellowing and rumbling at each other so my sleep was distributed now and then. Even through modern doubling glazed windows the sound is awful.A friend of mine is arriving from Glasgow later, she's staying at the local hotel so we'll meet up there for dinner later. She's doing a mini tour of the area so heading more north on Tuesday.I hope that everyone gets sunshine today. Happy Sunday to all.10

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I had a much better night last night and still feel half asleep. My sleep pattern is so inconsistent. The sun is shining here and set to shine for the next few days if the forecasters are right! Fingers are crossed they are!
Not a lot planned for today, a pottering morning and feet up reading this afternoon. Whether it's inside or out remains to be seen! The usual Slothful Sunday!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of one. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all.
Up early today and have made my sandwiches to take with me. Am setting off to play for one of my Morris sides at Wallingford Bunkfest, which is by the Thames in Oxfordshire, so about a 90 minute drive. There is, what I hope, a heat haze at the moment; the weather is forecast to be nice and sunny today.
DH is still in bed but he will potter today and make us dinner, as I won't be home until about 6.30pm. We got the grass cut yesterday and put one new plant in the front border. Will see how it goes, as it gets quite hot and sunny in the front so it might be too much for it. We have a Heuchera to plant as well but will save that until DGS comes on Tuesday, as he likes helping with gardening. Poor DD is struggling a bit with the last few weeks of pregnancy and now has swollen eustachian tubes, giving her ear problems, to add to the rest.
Off to get ready now so have a super Sunday everyone.11 -

Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Scarlet
It's also a bit hazy here, but hopefully the sun will come out and dry my washing.
No plans for today. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday R&R.9 -
Morning All
It was bright and sunny but has gone a bit overcast at the moment, the sunshine should be out again later. The same happened yesterday and was really quite warm in the afternoon.
I picked up a friend to go to a BBQ yesterday afternoon, somewhere I hadn't been before and we got very lost! There are so many new houses the sat nav thought we were in the middle of a field. Eventually got there, had a good time and then got lost again coming home.
Just off for a loch swim then it will be gardening time. The hanging baskets are about finished and are dry so they can be emptied into the brown bin - too heavy when wet. Lots of dead heading to be done and a general tidy up. Hopefully I can sit in the garden later and read for a while.
Washing was all dried yesterday, there's a load just finishing so will put that out when I'm back.
Hope everyone is doing well, take care. XX9 -
afternoon all. Just having a sit down and a cup of tea for a brief interlude. I've been sorting things out for my holiday ,we leave tomorrow, my sister and I, so today is packing suitcase, get car sorted with diesel and tyres [ done] and pack up the car, and cool box. I was cat sitting all last week so have had Friday, yesterday and today to do all the stuff I should have been doing last week. Never mind, it'll be reciprocated twice in November...hopefully. I also had to process the tomatoes in the greenhouse because OH is no gardener or cook [ roasted with garlic and oil, two lots and then frozen, make a curry for OH to parcel into the freezer, go shopping for food for him and the cats and last mintue choclately gifts, visit his mum for a coffee. A friend came round with some plants this morning so I foisted courgettes on them and tromboncino and more tomatoes. And it's hot today, I'm feeling all wet dishraggy. Never mind, we'll be in France toorrow nd I'm hoping we can visit a broccante or a charity shop or a street market on the way or the way back. Euro's are buring a hole in my pocket. I have my schedule of works planned for when we're there, my sister also has a schedule, we need to visit the commune fro some info but hopefully this time we'll eat ice cream more than three times. Shame I couldn't source a beekeepers suit, we have a giant wasp nest to sort out too. Oh well, the food will lovely and it will be nice to see family. Take care all, sorry I haven#t had time to catch up but rest assured I mentally cheer you all on every morning...Go Old Stylers!
