Part time working removal of car allowance

I’ve worked full time for a large Company for over 20 years but recently applied to reduce my hours and go part time. As part of my current contract of employment I’m given a monthly car allowance but by moving to part time the Co. Wants to remove this and is refusing to consider paying this pro-rata. Can they do this if I’m requesting flexible working?

As part of my current contract of employment I’m given a monthly car allowance but by moving to part time the Co. Is refusing to continue to pay this pro-rata. They’ve offered me a pro-rate reduced salary, holiday entitlement etc but are saying I’m no longer entitled to the car allowance, even on a pro-rata basis. Can they do this if I’m requesting flexible working?Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1
