Mortgage credit check before completion

Hi

weve had our mortgage offer and are due to complete at the end of the month but I need to get a loan out to buy a new car, our mortgage is with nationwide, will they do a further credit check before completion?

    They might do, they might not. A car loan is a significant expense though, its hardly a mobile phone contract, do you really want to risk it if it means you no longer fulfil their affordability criteria?
