Issues buying privately and using as a BTL

Quick question, Why do mortgage lenders have an issue when buying privately ( even at market value) if using for property as a BTL? Thanks

As AMN and JMA have stated, there are lenders for this. A broker would be best placed to obtain the best terms for you.
