Paypal Pay in Three Issue
I have noticed over the past couple of months that when I have gone to make a payment using Paypal the 'Pay in 3' option is no longer available and now never shows up. I used it a lot over several years previously and always paid it off on time etc. but with the same merchants who I used it with previously it is not not showing up as a payment option on Paypal.
I have contacted Paypal and asked them if there is an issue and they have said that my account is fine and that it is the merchants who decide if it can be used. But I find it highly unlikely that all of the merchants I have been using previously have all suddenly decided at the same time to stop offering it!
I strongly suspect that it is Paypal who have decided to stop offering it but Paypal are denying this and there is no reason I can think of why they would do this. Has anyone experienced this previously or have any advice about how to deal with it?
It's not a huge issue not being able to use the Pay in 3, more of an irritation than anything else, but I would like to know what the issue is and get it resolved.

PayPal is currently in the process of transferring its UK based operations over to FCA regulation.
Buy now, pay later credit products, some of which are offered by PayPal, are not currently subject to full FCA regulation, so they may have suspended or stopped offering that product in order to comply with UK/FCA permissions.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
