TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Absolute Breakfast Promotion x Sky Mobile – 99 questions – Pre-register – 30th August 2023 – 14th September 2023  (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

 

 

1.Entry ROUTES and Costs	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   (A)     Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio/   Calls with be charged at your standard network rate.   Online entry  is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There will be a total of 10 winners across this competition, one per day from 30thAugust – 14th September 2023. All valid entries will be pooled and the short listed entrants will be chosen by electronic draw randomly the day before the competition round plays out in breakfast.   How to enter: Pre-register with your details for the chance to play on-air during the Absolute Radio breakfast show.   How to win: The successful entrant will come on-air to play the 99 question game with the Absolute Radio Breakfast presenters.   They should then follow instructions given by the studio, in order to bring them to air and play the competition   Specific times to be given on the day by the presenters/ producers, who will arrange with the winners a time to call into the studio.   The competition will air during the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show (04/09/2023 – 08/09/2023 & 11/09/2023 – 15/09/2023) which takes place between 0600 and 1000   Over the two weeks of this on-air competition, there will be a total of 99 general knowledge questions, during week one (04/09/2023 – 08/09/2023) there will be 10 questions per day and during week two (11/09/2023 – 15/09/2023) there will be 10 questions every day expect on Friday 15th September where there will be 9 questions.   From 04/09/2023 – 08/09/2023 and 11/09/2023 – 14/09/2023 every question that is correctly answered will win the entrant £99. There will be a max of £990 cash to be won per day prize. If the entrant gets all 10 questions correct, they will also win that day’s bonus prize (See section 5. The Prize for details).   On 15/09/2023 every question that is correctly answered will win the entrant £99. The entrant playing on this date will be awarded any cash they successfully win as well as our 99thquestion bonus prize. This bonus prize is awarded just for being the player who gets asked the 99th question.  The entrant does not have to get all 9 questions correct in order to win the bonus prize. On-air entrants must get the question correct on their first attempt and changing their answers will not be accepted. If the call drops out, loses signal or the line is bad quality and we cannot hear the caller, the entrant will forfeit and not play or win anything. Entrants will be short listed to play, you are not a playing contestant unless a member of the production team informs you that you are. You are only deemed a winner once told on-air and contacted by a member of the production team. All final decisions will rest with the Absolute Radio Production Team. The Absolute Radio Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:   Pre-registration for the on-air competition is open from Wednesday 30th August 2023 at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) to Thursday 14th September 2023 9:00am (“End Time”).   The specific opening and closing times of the on-air competitions will be announced during the show by the breakfast presenters.   Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.   If the winner cannot be contacted within 21 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them, then they will forfeit the prize.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition.
