Any item that's sold as 'dispatched by amazon' all goes in one big bin of that same item in an amazon warehouse, no matter who the seller is. So Colgate supplied by Colgate and Colgate supplied by Trotters Independent Traders will be mixed together and which one you'll get is sheer luck. This means you only need one dodgy seller to supply a bad product and it doesn't matter which seller you pick, even if you pick amazon themselves - if amazon are taking it from their warehouse, it's all from the same stock.
That said, I do buy toothpaste, shower gel and a few other health and beauty bits from amazon, but it's something to be aware of. Most of the bits I buy only have one seller (the manufacturer) and they just use amazon to do the packing and shipping. If ANY review mentions fake products, I'd avoid it.1 -

With store’s they have all checks done before allowed to be sold in physical shop but
how check a Amazon seller credibility - For eg if am buying say Toothpaste or shampoo. How do I know there ingredients or products has passed inspection or quality. Last thing i want is to buy something and it causes me issues

I'm just posting a screenshot to double check you know how to tell when something is dispatched by amazon or not. The size of the business doesn't really make a difference, if it says dispatched by amazon in this area, it is! If it says dispatched by someone else it's dispatched by them!
Almost all businesses will have an online presence outside of amazon. You can Google the brand to see if it's sold in other places, and how reputable those places seem. I googled 'Lotion with Calcium' and the brand 'Better you' was suggested - it's sold in Holland and Barrett who have physical stores and are reputable, along with some independent chemists. This would lead me to think that brand is trustworthy, as an example. It's the same as researching any other new brand or product, the fact you found it on amazon is largely irrelevant.1 -
Thanks for taking the time to explain this in detail
I take another look at Amazon proper0 -
Some niche products are hard to find with reputable company, e.g Copper tongue scraper is majority sold on Amazon but h&b currently out stock and superdrug sell but the two companies who it produced by has minimum info with not so good reviews on there other items
If I bought it of Amazon, am assuming if the item was badly made or had negative effects Amazon would pull or people reviews would warn - over 20k positive reviews it gotta be legit right0
